My initial advice is book early because with the quality of food and the price, you’ll be lucky to get in. My cousin had a beef roast dinner with Yorkshire pudding and loads of meat. I had a really tasty shortcrust steak pie. The presentation of each was impeccable. With each meal we had both mash and roast potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, sprouts, mushrooms, french beans, asparagus and peas.Then we both had the lemon meringue pie for pudding. In a word gorgeous. Not too sweet and served with both cream and ice cream, raspberries and blueberries, dusted with cocoa, a rolled biscuit and maltesers. Lastly coffee served with a small bit of shortbread. John the chef certainly knows how to present food. Basically a wonderful meal, with friendly staff. Front of house is run by Marshall and Shirley. Read moreWe managed to snag a table here last night at 6pm, the last available I think and it's obvious why they are busy. We moved to Spain 18 months ago and have eaten out a lot but I have to say this is the BEST meal I have had in that time. My partner had Fish & Chips, which was perfectly cooked and the plate was cleared, which is unusual for him. I had the Sirloin, the steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and very tasty. All of the accompaniments were again beautifully cooked, which is usually where restaurants left themselves down. Fabulous crispy french fries and the best onion rings I have had in years. The pepper sauce needs a mention as I have eaten some shocking ones but this was perfect. No room for dessert this time but we will be back. Wine was delicious and lovely and cold and everything is reasonably priced. Finally I have to mention the service, which was exceptional, caring and attentive without being intrusive. Read moreWe’d been looking forward to visiting Gibson Bar & Kitchen for their Sunday roast, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. I went for the chicken, my wife had the beef — both were cooked to perfection, full of flavour, and served with all the proper trimmings. You could tell a lot of care went into every part of the meal.
We finished with their cheesecake, which was equally fantastic. Light, rich, and a perfect end to the meal.
The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff were friendly, and it was everything we hoped for. If you’re after a great Sunday roast in Benalmádena, this is the place. Already looking forward to...
