Sam's Sports Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Benalmádena

Visited here in 2023 and had breakfast and lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful. Their prices are competitive, and a good selection of alcoholic drinks, including cocktails. Visited here in the summer of 2024, and in my view, a lot had changed, and for the worst. On 3 separate occasions, I purchased the same 2 drinks, and on each occasions I got charged a different price, and not one of these times was it happy hour. Also, on one occasion, I was told that card payments wouldn't be taken unless the bill was over €10😯 or there would be a surcharge for using a card( that was our final visit for this year). Towards the end of the holiday, a sign was put up notifying the customers that it was cash only!!! It's such a shame that I have to post this negative review . We have not yet tried the food here but the drinks experience is the 5* in particular the nice cold draft beers and in particular their version of a Sangria is a bomb i.e. Red wine, Bacardi, Cointreau, Brandy, fruit, Orange & Lemon Fanta and at a very reasonable price for the area.
