Went for their grand opening. When we tried to make reservations for the Saturday we were told they were fully booked but it was a grand opening weekend so we booked for Sunday. We were told we would get a free glass of cava and nibbles before the meal and live music. When we arrived we were told the grand opening was only Saturday and that we were told incorrectly. (Would have thought as a gesture they would have still offered a glass of cava but no). Had starters of the Nacho share platter, this was not the best Nachos we have had out, in fact close to the worst. As soon as they removed the Nachos our main course arrived. It was like they were sitting in the kitchen waiting for us to finish the starter. We all had burgers. The burgers were served on brioche buns that were not toasted so they were soaked through and you could not pick up the burgers. The fries were frozen fries and for the price of the burgers you would expect fresh cut fries. Overall the food tasted alright but the presentation was poor. At least we tried this place, wouldn’t go back...
Read moreFirst visit and won't be the last. Some of the best smoked meats I've eaten anywhere! The sharing platter was tender and plenty to share. The mac n cheese and brisket fries were also top notch.
The only downside was that they only sell Mahou both in bottles and draft. Maybe get another choice in for people who don't drink that. Alhambra 1925 or San Miguel would be great! See you soon
EDIT * Visited again Feb 2025 when the new menu started. We were really disappointed at the new menu 😞 Only a few options, no slow cooked brisket or pulled pork. The only sharing platter is what we ordered plus some ribs (see last 2 pics). The meat was ok but nothing like it used to be. No slaw, frozen chips, and still no decent beer. We were the only table in too on a Sunday evening.
Unfortunately, we won't be back which is a shame as it used...
Read moreHad a table reservation, still waited for an hour for the food in an empty restaurant. We ordered a plate for two and there surely was enough to eat. Pulled pork was really good but brisket was a bit disappointment, little dry as well as the chicken. Ribs were little dry too and - barbeque enthusiasts understand this - the membranes hadn’t been removed. There was maybe spoonful of salad as a side and also fries but all dips you had to pay extra for (there was no ketchup or similar available). There were no sauces available for anything. Overall this felt like a rip off, especially since all soft drinks are smallest ones available (and still cost 3€) Yes surely this beats any Chinese-Mexican bar on the beach but wasn’t...
