The Crispies Fish and Chips — Restaurant in Benalmádena

Better for take away than dine-in. Because Crispies isn't near our apartment we ate in but that definitely spoilt our experience. The table tops were clean but every chair was dirty with big black marks. We sat outside the smell of cooking was too much inside. We were the only ones dining in. The large haddock was perfect, golden & well cooked, no grease at all. The chips were OK. Ordered bread & butter, one slice with non- butter spread for 80c. A couple of spoonfuls of mushy peas 2.50€ . Nice mug of tea. The fish was comparable to one's we enjoyed at Oceans. Don’t let the first impressions judge your decision to eat here. It’s a bit off the beaten track, which I personally love as it allows for a quiet dinner. And because it is away from the “main” tourist areas, it may not look like much but it is well worth the trip.

The fish and chips with mushy peas was to die for!

The fish was perfectly cooked and was not soaking in grease. The chips were light and fluffy inside and with a satisfying crunch on the outside.

The staff were great as they spent time talking to us and joking about our choice of futbol clubs and such.

We were looking for some fish and chips when we spied this restaurant from the top of the double decker bus. It was a bit difficult to find the way up as it sits above the shops but we finally managed our way up. I was greeted warmly by Mario, the owner, and seated on the outside deck. He cooks everything fresh to order and we were not disappointed. It was the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. He knows exactly how to do it. We also ordered the onion rings and mushy peas.
