Wilkie's Tavern — Restaurant in Benalmádena

I had a large English Breakfast (although Irish Sausages, Maith thú!!!) not a huge choice to start the day off but starting from just €3.50, good value all round!

Bacon was ‘proper English Bacon’ and cooked how I like it, but probably not enough for most people (so if you like it crispy just ask I’m sure they will oblige!) eggs were egg-cellent (I’ll get my coat!) best fried eggs in Benalmadena! Beans not saucy enough, you do get fresh or tinned tomato’s too! The toast had an odd tang to it, and whilst I don’t have sauce- they have cheap looking sachets on the tables.

Whilst the service was absolutely fine and timely, we heard the waitress use the same robotic phrases at every table; would have been nice to see a bit more personality shine...

This place is a breath of fresh air. Lovely people! Friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to cook us up something perfect! Just had a damn decent large breakfast at 3:30pm 🤣🤣 Absolutely spot on. After a week of some frankly quite hard work staff in other places who mainly acted like they couldn’t be bothered with looking after us, never mind even trying to be welcoming this was a random relief from all that. I've decided to change my opinions on this marvellous bar/restaurant - i felt I did not give enough credit to Louis - the most amazingly helpful man - he was brilliant every night when we stopped off here before bed. Jenna is just an unbelievably hard worker and is so kind and gracious while going round everyone to ensure they are being taken care of. The breakfasts here are 100% fabulous and NOT to be missed - overall great friendly, professional and so so helpful - you simple have to visit here as part of Benalmadena holiday - thanks Louis and Jenna - you helped make a holiday perfect...
