I visited this restaurant based on its 4.9 rating, but my experience was disappointing.
Due to medical reasons, I can’t drink alcohol. I ordered a Piña Colada from the non-alcoholic mojito section of the menu. The drink tasted strange—possibly alcoholic—but I didn’t make a fuss. Only when I saw the bill did I realize the price didn’t match what was listed. I asked the waiter, who said he’d only been there for three days and wasn’t sure. He called over a more experienced waitress, who told me there are two Piña Coladas—one with alcohol, one without—and that I should’ve clarified.
But I pointed directly at the alcohol-free section. If two completely different drinks share the same name, it’s the restaurant’s responsibility to label them clearly or train staff to ask. I suggested using different names to avoid confusion (like Sex on the Beach vs. Safe Sex on the Beach), but the waitress just defended her colleague more than any other concerns.
Also, the waiter’s attitude was unpleasant. When a shaded table nearby opened up, I was about to ask if we could switch, but before I even spoke, he walked over with a look and tone that clearly said, “no need to rush me.” I hadn’t said a word. If you bring that kind of attitude to work, it can really ruin someone’s day.
That said, I did enjoy the food—compliments to the chef.

Thank you for your “again” response? Though I’m not quite sure why, as this is my first and only review of your restaurant.
In fact, of all the feedback you’ve received recently, mine appears to be the only one that mentions the mix-up with the cocktail. So unless there’s someone else out there coincidentally having the exact same issue and phrasing, your assumption seems misplaced.
It's disappointing to see a restaurant deflect criticism by suggesting duplicate reviews instead of taking full ownership. And while you're at it—publicly implying that a customer is manipulating reviews without verification? That’s not just unprofessional, it may also raise legal concerns.
You say you're working to improve clarity and training, yet confuse one review with another and respond with winking emojis. If that’s your version of hospitality, I’d recommend focusing less on attitude and more on accuracy.
Your chef deserves credit—the food was enjoyable. It’s a shame the service and tone behind the scenes don’t...

From the moment we enquired about a reservation, the communication was seamless. On arrival, the staff went above and beyond—helping us decorate a tequila sunrise-themed area and welcoming our group with matching cocktails. We booked the bottomless brunch for a hen party of 13, and every detail was perfect. The service was consistently excellent, and the staff were attentive and friendly throughout.
The food and drink was 5*, with a generous selection of delicious tapas and a separate gluten-free option provided for one of our guests. The unlimited cocktails were easily some of the best we’ve ever had—served consistently and presented beautifully despite the size of our party. Not once was anyone without a drink.
Huge thanks to the entire Baldo team for making it such a fantastic experience. It was a real highlight of our trip...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to dinner due to the 4.8 star reviews. Me and my friend both had tempura cod with chips but it was pretty ordinary and actually not great. The chips were hard and not very hot. The fish didn't taste of much at all but it didn't seem that fresh. That said, the service was great. The decor was lovely and it was a nice restaurant right by the sea and at least the price was OK. I hate to give negative reviews but we were disappointed as it was our last night so we were looking forward to it. We would have had a dessert and another drink but were worried that dessert might also be disappointing. There was music playing but it was clashing with the loud music from next door which just made your head hurt. I'm not blaming the...
