Pros: Food is amazing! Really delicious
Cons: Stuff. They lost our booking and offered the table in front of the desk on the passageway, where people are going here and there to the pool. Why do you keep these uncomfortable tables when you have a plenty of space behind? I came to the reception desk of the restaurant to book a table again. Waited 10 min, stuff looked at me and went by, nobody paid attention! Really irritating! I lost my temper and went back to the room without a booking. Then I checked Google and found out that the restaurant would be opened only in 20 min. So why not to come to me and inform, ask why I was standing there or at least have a sign with opening hours? We ordered paella. There is a written text: "min 2 persons". When I ordered paella in another restaurant the waiter explained us that the portion is big that is why it is suitable for min 2 people, but the price on the menu is for the whole pan. In Malaspina however no one told us that their "min 2 persons" means you have to order 2 dishes and you should double the price mentioned on the menu. We found it out only when got the bill. Mojito has too much ice, basically I would call it ice with syrup than mojito. We ordered Caprichosa which includes prosciutto and artichokes but there was a ham instead and no artichokes. We booked the table for 13:30 (opening time) and the restaurant was empty. Only 1 table was with guests. We ordered paella at 13:35 and were informed to wait 20 min. At 14:00 we were told to wait 3 more min. I had to ask the waiter again and again because we wanted to have lunch before our plane and were in a hurry. We waited 45...
Read moreIt met our expectations. It satisfied our taste, our view, an oasis of peace in the middle of a city full of calm, note the irony.
We were not in a hurry, we were with loved ones, friends, soul mates, so the time passed and passed, and we flowed with it, without realizing it, we were enveloped by its magic, its atmosphere, and the aforementioned, the tranquility.
We were attended by a professional, helpful, polite woman, whose name was Alba, not to flatter anyone, but my duty is to let her and her employer know about her professionalism, good work and of course better customer service. The dishes ordered and served, were all very good, without exception, beautiful to look at, and tasty to taste.
I will repeat, without any doubt, and I would like to meet Alba again, the letters that make up the word "waiter" are all fulfilled by Alba with her professionalism. We think that waiter, is to serve dishes and take orders, illusive and ignorant us, the first deal with a client, the first look, the first word that you mention to him/her, already reflects to be a waiter or not to be a waiter.
I strongly applaud her work, and congratulate the employer who employed her, for having taken a diamond in the rough...
Read moreFirst of all, we made a reservation and when we arrived, after 1,5 h drive, a server at the restaurant, Claudio, said that he didn’t have any reservation and we couldn’t eat there. He inquired in an unprofessional way, when and where we made the reservation, questioning that we were saying the truth. After a while, a nicer lady working in reservations said that the reservation was made by the reservations department because the restaurant was still closed. It looks like they are very disorganized and Claudio blames customers for the mistakes that he makes. After having a table, not only he did not apologized but they delayed the service, and ignored us showing their annoyance. The food was ok, the Malaespina rice was the worst rice I ever tried. Very disappointing experience so I imagine the good reviews are...
