Pizzería Duetto — Restaurant in Benidorm

We live in Benidorm (since 2020) and came to Duetto for the first three years we lived here but stopped coming after apparent drastic staff changes led to a dramatic (and I mean DRAMATIC) decrease in the quality of food. Seriously, at one point (between the time we first came to Duetto in 2019 or so) and around early 2023, they had the best pizza I've ever had.....and I've eaten a lot of pizza in my 68 years. Sometime between late 2022 and early 2023 Duetto went through aforementioned staff changes, to include their long-term pizza chef, and wow did the quality ever go down in their food across the board. Now, I would describe the pizza as generally inedible. The rest of their food is no better. It's really heartbreaking for this to have happened because I used to count Duetto as one of our four or five go-to places in Benidorm which meant we used to eat there a couple times a month. After around three bad experiences (and extremely low quality food) from early 2023 on.....we've not returned and will likely never return if the ownership does not try to get back to some semblance of quality that Duetto offered before. The downward spiral of Duetto is one of our biggest disappointments in dining out...

Been going to this restaurant for several years and have always enjoyed it. However went yesterday 4 people and had reserved a table for lunch. We were the only people there. Ordered our drinks and food Starters arrived and approximately 5minutes later the waiter told us the second course was coming. I said no we've just started our starters and he was quite adamant they were coming. I said no in about another 10 mins once again he said no now. This ensued and he was quite rude. When our next course arrived it was so underwhelming. Pizza was dry as a stick not enough pizza sauce and not much cheese(this is normally the best in benidorm) The rest of the food wasn't great and mostly removed for their dog. Got the bill and 3 items were listed which we hadn't ordered so asked for it to be corrected. We then were asked if we would like a chopito we ordered 3 lemoncillo and 1 Bailey's got 3 Bailey's and 1 lemoncillo. Normally I would have addressed this with Titania (the owner) but unfortunately not there. My friends said they would never go back. Sad loss because we all live here and are...

We were recommended this lovely place by a family member who visits often we hadn’t booked but we were greeted by a lovely short haired lady with a smile and guided us to a table , when seated a lovely waitress took our order for drinks that came promptly, clean iced glasses and I had to say stop pouring the vodka or I’d roll out ! We order a garlic cheese pizza starter that came delicious fire oven bread gorgous fresh bread lots of garlic and cheese , our mains arabiata was my husbands choice he has a nut and fish allergy and this was catered for , I chose chicken escalope with fries and salad and added mushroom sauce , portions were large and absolutely delicious , we had more drinks and I went for the pano cotta this was so good , overall great price , great service and delicious food...
