Gin Fizz Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Bilbao

Reliable. The Google maps info said the bar was open. It was. There are so many places that randomly don't work or have different levels of "open" - like restaurants that are open, but with a non-working kitchen at 19:00?! Adequate. The bartender spoke English, was welcoming and helpful with information about the menu and the cocktails. Impressive. The bartender was skillfully preparing tasty and balanced cocktails, all while putting on a show. She made even a mundane action like grating chocolate on top of the cocktail's foam look like a fancy masterful trick that she was also enjoying at the same time. Acceptable price range. Most of the cocktails were in the 8-12 Euro range, which was ok, given the quantity and quality of the drinks and also the variety of the menu. Our night there. We went to the bar after a day of trekking from Bakio to Gaztelugatxe, all followed by a short walk around town, which left us exhausted and a little anxious, but the bar's atmosphere, overall calmness of the staff and customers, and of course the tastefully mixed in alcohol really helped ease our minds, leading to a peaceful night after an otherwise...

GiN FiZZ, THE place to be for all aficionados of fine beverages! The best ingredients don’t mean a thing if you don’t know how to cook. But this bar combines excellent ingredients with staff that know their trade. I had the pleasure to be served by Diego and he took the indulgence for drinks to a new level. My recommendation, don’t order something you already know. Talk about your preferred taste and let the bartender come up with his own creation. Buenas copas. Pero tras ir habitualmente, un día nos llamaron la atención por entrar en un de las zonas del bar con sillones,argumentando que era solo para grupos de 6 personas, cuando habiamos estado muchas veces 3 y 4 sin problema.... Tras muchas copas y dinero gastado aquí, yo y mis amigos hemos decido cambiar.

No nos pareció de recibo que nos llamará la atención de repente por esta tontería viendo que nos hemos gastado mucho dinero e ido muchas veces en las mismas circunstancias a esa sala.

Como no puedo responder al comentario del señor gerente, añado a mi post la respuesta.

No era sábado, era viernes, y no había nadie en el bar, estaba vacío porque eran las 17h del viernes. Veo tambien que hace un llamamiento al civismo, y si efectivamente nosotros hemos sido cívicos hasta el extremo ya que hicimos caso de la indicación de su desagradable camarero, y nos fuimos, eso sí esta vez para no volver.

Señor gerente del Gin Fizz es usted un cinico. Hace afirmaciones que no son ciertas.

Me voy a ocupar personalmente de explicarle a todos mis allegados lo que ustedes hacen con la sala. No hay problema. Pero si que tengo problema con el como aplica la norma, a veces si a veces no..¿de que depende?.y en aquella ocasión le reitero no había nadie.

Lo dicho, tras la respuesta me reafirmo más en mi postura, no vuelvo. COPAS LAS MEJORES de la calle, pero....¿el trato? Mmmmmm ahí ya va a ser que no. Que les vaya bonito, y que tengan mucha suerte, porque la van a necesitar. He visto locales mejores que el suyo caer por el mal trato, parece que ustedes van por el mismo...
