La Mula de Moscú — Restaurant in Bilbao

Absolutely loved this place! Nice look, friendly and talented staff, delicious craft cocktails, overall great vibe.

This bar was half a block from our airbnb. We walked past it on our way to dinner and ended the night there. So glad we found it. I love blue lights in dim rooms, so I was drawn to this place as I peekd in. Love that they use beds for seating with tables set up along one edge and chairs on the opposite side. The bar is set up nicely and the staff know how to entertain while they mix drinks. We had some creative sips and tried about 6 or 7 drinks between the two of us. All delicious. Music was good, crowd got bigger as the night progressed and it was a weekday.

Upon entering to greet my friends, I assumed the staff member was coming over rather attentively to take my order. Instead, he told us that I could not join their table as it was only for two. My friends decided to give up their table and join me at the bar where I was ignored. They were then told they could not order at the bar! Beyond hilarious, what a frightful experience. I just scrolled back on their reviews and I can’t believe I didn’t review our visit in May 2024. Absolutely beautiful bar, great cocktails and wine. Cocktails were fabulous and the wine pouring even better!!!! We are going to Bilbao this week and will be there every night. Really loved this place. Will post an update later in the week.
