This restaurant calls itself “Indian Punjab Restaurant”, but make no mistake: this is a Pakistani restaurant — culturally, visually, and by admission of the staff themselves.
The décor features the Pakistani national flag and heritage imagery, with no Indian representation. While cultures sometimes overlap, this space is clearly Pakistani.
Out of courtesy, I stayed. A friend ordered food — I tasted a small bite. Yes, the food was good and tasty — but that’s not the point.
The name “Indian” seems used for visibility — especially to attract tourists. When I asked the man at the counter where he was from, he hesitated before finally admitting it’s a Pakistani restaurant. That says everything.
I have no issue with Pakistani food. But I take issue with misrepresentation. Some of us seek more than just familiar flavours — we seek cultural identity, trust, and authenticity.
Legally and technically, the name isn’t wrong — it can be interpreted in two ways:
A restaurant representing Punjab as a whole — including both the Indian and Pakistani sides. A Pakistani restaurant that serves Indian-style Punjabi food or Indian and Pakistani Punjabi food.
But ethically? Debatable...
If you’re looking for food prepared by and rooted in Indian culture —...

This place was an absolute disaster from the moment we walked in. The sign proudly says Indian Restaurant, but don’t be fooled. The waiter first told us he’s Indian, then said he’s Pakistani, and finally claimed he’s Bengali. Turns out, the food is Pakistani, the staff are Bengali, and the entire identity of the place is a complete fabrication.
The food? Horrendous. Greasy, tasteless, and slapped together like it was made by someone who had never eaten Indian food in their life. But the worst part? The waiter handed me a plate that was scorching hot straight out of the depths of hell, without a single word of warning. I instinctively grabbed it and burned my fingertips badly. When I reacted, his only response was “What should I do?” He tossed me a piece of ice like I was a joke and muttered a half-hearted sorry. No apology, no offer to help, no compensation.
The atmosphere was equally pathetic no music, no warmth, no life. Just a sad, empty space run by people who clearly don’t care.
This place is a fraud. Avoid it like a...
Read moreNormally I don't like writing negative feedback but it's important in this case. The dishes I tried are - Veg biryani, Veg Samosa, Cheese naan, Paneer tikka masala.
Horrible Tikka masala with weird smell and doesn't encourage me to eat at all. I highly doubt whether this is Indian cuisine or not as it does not resemble anything Indian in taste!!! Cheese naan was like naan filled with cheese inside and this is not usually the case and it was half cooked!! They DO NOT STUFF INSIDE but slice over the cheese or butter (Whatever you order) and it melts over it while cooking. That's how you do it!
Only saviour was Veg Samosa! It was awesome ❤️ But it was very small and given 3 pieces only.
I would not recommend this restaurant and I don't want people to think this is authentic Indian taste which is not true. If someone wants to try Indian Cuisine, best place is UK or Amsterdam! Every other places it is mostly few north Indian dishes...
