La Caseta Blanes — Restaurant in Blanes

We were 5 people and order 4 menus, it all started very well with delicious starters. However, one of the main dish was too greasy (the baked fish with potatoes), and the potatoes were swimming in oil. There was also so much red peppers on the potatoes that they didn't taste like potatoes anymore. The desserts were nice too. I also ordered tap water as it is mandatory in Spain to provide it now. They said they would but they never did. The menu also said that bread was included with the food, and in their website it even said that coffee was included. When they served the main dish we reminded them they forgot to provide us with the included bread and then they came with 2 servings of tomato bread, and charged us later for it. So we complained explaining that we only wanted the bread included in the meal and they said we were served 2 portions of pan con tomate which was on top of our tomato bread that was in the starter. We explained them it was very contradictory to what was mentioned on the menu. And they could have told us that it was not included. Also, we never asked for 2 portions. They said the menu was changed last Thursday and not updated on their website. Finally they didn't charge us with the bread. When we wanted to pay, they kind of ignored us for a while. Note: The toilets are not accessible for someone with a disability. To respond to your comment: I have said that the potatoes were swimming in oil and as you can see in the picture, I am not lying if this is what you're suggesting! As of the toilets, I think it's important to note for someone with a disability, I don't see what the problem is with me mentioning that. As of the bread, yes, as I said in the end...

Disappointing visit😡 Poor food and services!!! Don’t visit for western food.

The reviews on google are pretty good however the food we ordered and the services do not deserve the high rating at all!

We ordered a salmon tarta, beef burger and a lamb. For drinks: orange juice with banana and berry.

The burger and lamb is awful. I don’t know how to explain the texture but the beef patty is just not how it should be. It’s texture taste like a fake beef patty with different mixture of meats. The fries is terrible as well, cold and soft.

The lamb is even worse. The flavour is disgusting. Smells weird and taste awful. 50% of the dish is fat not meat itself.

The juice is toooooo sweet. They put so many additional sugar in it given the whole drink is full of natural fruit sugar already.

The waiters are not friendly and helpful as well. We have to ask for menus, cutlery and tissues which meant to be given before we sat down.

Very disappointing experience. Although the waiters were nice there were so many things wrong with the meal. Patatas bravas must have been cooked in old oil together with other foods which gave them an odd flavour, the strings of carrot and cucumber on vegetarian platter looked so dry out as if they were cut yesterday, hummus was just really not tasty, tortilla was dry, calamari was so fried they were almost brown. Hygiene didn't seem the best either, I had a dirty glass, there was a piece of fresh calamari in tomato salad, which implied they handle raw fish together with everything else in the kitchen and finally, people at the back of the kitchen had their face coverings pulled down to the chin.
