Bar Restaurante Casa Perico — Restaurant in Cómpeta

We recently visited Casa Perico, drawn by its beautiful location. Unfortunately, while the setting is lovely, our experience with the service and cleanliness was deeply disappointing.

The staff, though seemingly hardworking, appeared untrained and lacked attention to hygiene. Our server had noticeable personal hygiene issues and was coughing while handling food and drinks without washing his hands. This raised serious concerns about cleanliness and overall food safety.

The food itself did not make up for these shortcomings, as it was underwhelming in both taste and presentation. While the ambiance has potential, the lack of proper training, hygiene, and service standards makes it difficult to recommend Casa Perico in its current state. I sincerely hope management takes steps to improve these critical areas, as the location itself...

Genuinely surprised to see a few negative reviews on here for Casa Perico. We ate there with guests twice this week and on both occasions could not have had a more enjoyable experience - delicious food (we doubled the amount of croquettas we ordered on the second visit!), a friendly chap waved us in enthusiastically and the waiter was polite and helpful. We did our best to communicate in Spanish, but the staff had enough English to fill in the gaps where necessary. Our first visit, complete with drinks, came to only €88 between four of us, which I think pretty hard to beat.

The atmosphere in the plaza is delightful, with lots of locals and tourists alike enjoying the weather. The church bells are a little deafening! But they only strike periodically and add to the charm of the place.

Normally we don't write a review but in this case I would like to warn everybody not to eat at this place. They were all over the place, we had to wait more then 45 minutes for our meals. When the food was served it wasn't all served at the same time. It took another 30 minutes for some other meals to come. And the food was the worst we have ever eaten. from raw burgers with a overcooked eg on top to horrible spaghetti and warmed up ravioli. Even the pizza's were not pleasant. Others choice little dishes but left them because it was not nice to eat. When we told the waitress that this wasn't acceptable she just walked away. It is a fine place for a quick drink but please don't waste your money on this so...
