Casa Paco was recommended to me so thought we'd give this a try. The food was fine but nothing exceptional. We had some Patatas Bravas with some slightly spicy sauce drizzled over it along with a basket of toasted breads. I had an Iberian Pork dish with Fries and Green Peppers and then followed with cheesecake for desert. All were ok but I've had mostly better dishes on our travels around Andalucia.
Moving on to the service, this wasn't great. I'd booked a table which is worth doing as it was a busy night but I felt service was slow for us in particular. I'd noticed other tables being seated after us who were getting orders taken quickly and food being served out quicker. They were all given baskets of fresh bread at the start, something we didn't see other than the one I ordered. I'd tried to get the attention of staff as they were passing by on a number of occasions whilst they were walking by but felt like they were avoiding coming over to us. My Spanish isn't great but can get by so I'd made the effort to try and speak to them in their own language as much as possible when I could get their attention. I'm not sure if this was going against me though and they didn't seem to speak much English as far as I'm aware.
The atmosphere in the square was pretty good as it was bustling with people and I like the sound of a busy area with people chatting.
It's a shame though as I've generally found Spanish hospitality very good over the years and like to see local businesses like this thrive. Sadly, we'll not be returning to...

Up the hill to the church and the first terrace on the left is Casa Paco.
The welcome: genuinely friendly, the food: Mediterranean, the service: amazingly speedy and well organised!
The tuna tartare is delicious as are the croquettes and the home made amaretto ice with almond crumbles.
We came back 3 times in the same week and ate the same everyday! That's how good it was.
The G&T is a must order here but careful or they will poor the whole bottle in your glass. The thing is when they start filling your glass, count to seven and say thank you, otherwise there will be no space for...
Read moreWe reserved a table and arrived to find they’d saved us a table in the road, with only 1 chair, so basically sat in a car park. Service was awful- young male was polite but female was rude. We waited over 45 mins after ordering 3 basic dishes for starters, but only 1 ever arrived. We also ordered a beer that never arrived. After waiting for so long, with no reassurance from the rude staff, we paid for the one over priced starter dish and left. Don’t...
