I have been traveling for a really long time tasting food and getting to know culture and this time my destination was Cordoba, I wanted to experience the heat of the city aswell as its delicious gastronomy and for this reason I knew I had to go to Mercado Victoria were one food stall just caught my eye, Mexx-Restaurant, with its bright colours and dreamy food I instantly knew I had to eat there. I ordered full nachos and my mind was blown, my taste buds still remember the fresh chopped pices of tomato and the handpicked avocados used to make the soft creamy guacamole. I would eat there again and again and again it was amazing and it is perfect for families or just eating alone. I 100% recommend and its price-quality ratio is more that fair. Two essential places in Cordoba, La Mezquita and Mexx-Restaurant.
I am back. It was inevitable for me and this time I didn’t go alone, I just knew it would be a shame for my family to miss out on such developed and crisp flavours and the enjoyment on their faces when they tried the food made my summer. Cordoba was hot as always and nothing beats the heat of the city like an ice cold Jarritos for the kids and adults, the commitment of the Mexx to shine light on mexican culture and provide top tier food and drinks is what keeps me coming and forever recommending this place. Again I had the nachos, added some tacos and wow! They just keep getting better, the tacos were amazing and the fresh pulled pork on the nachos had my family overjoyed with the experience. To this day my family still tells me to book a flight just to go to the Mexx. This is an experience that I will never forget and I hope life brings me back to the Mexx-Cordoba for...
Read moreWe had a chicken burrito and the nachos, and both were rather terrible, cold and tasteless, the burrito was basically just rice, the chicken must have ran off somewhere, while the nachos were fine, but for the price they ask quite underwhelming. The service was pretty unhelpful, it took an absurdly long amount of time, they literally started preparing the food ten minutes after we ordered, despite no one being in front us. Thankfully they have an open kitchen, so this no speculation but plain fact.
I find it rather comedic the arrogance with which this "restaurant" has been adressing negative comments, because based on my experience they all seem to be believable. There are several better places for food in the Victoria Market, so any person, who is unlike me smart enought to read reviews before going there, avoid at all cost (or it will cost you a lot for...
Read moreWe ordered the nachos with cheese and salsa. The guy making the food seemed angry before we even ordered with the current food he was making. Maybe he's having a bad day. When we received our nachos, there really wasn't a lot of cheese on them and there were some tomatoes and a few onions. Mostly just a diced tomato pico. When we asked for a little red salsa he wanted to argue about the definition of salsa and ultimately said he would have to charge us extra for any salsa. After paying $13 Euro for these pretty skimpy looking chips and salsa we decided not to give them any more of our money and just let him have his bad day. We didn't try any of the meats but I wouldn't ever go back to this angry little corner stall.
Many chips didn't have cheese, "salsa",...
