Funghi — Restaurant in Córdoba

I knew I was going to visit here at least once during my stay in Cordoba, seeing the reviews and pictures online, but my expectations were far exceeded. The bottom was paper thin with just the right amount of char on it, the crust was fluffy and crunchy at the same time. The toppings were well balanced, each adding a level of taste without detracting from any of the others. The Rucola was not bitter at all but very sweet and herbal, the Mozzarella was beautifully melted and creamy, no part was over-topped, the shaved Parmigiano on top added just the right amount of Aroma and you could hold a slice by the crust without any sagging. By all accounts and by the rules drilled into me by Italian Pizzaiolos, this Pizza was as close to perfect as I could ask for, and dimensions ahead of what I can get in my home area these days. We stumbled upon this place during our visit to Córdoba - it is situated in Victoria Market that is famous for food venues.

Even though it is crowded and hard to find a place to sit; the pizza is absolutely worth it. We tried out Pizza Pepperoni and it was great.

The dough and the ingredients were very fresh and the price was quite alright for the size we got.

Great pizza in the food court area. Because of my poor Spanish, I ordered the wrong ingredients. Ordered pork by mistake. When the pizza was ready, I noticed my mistake. The cook did not get upset, but rather asked me exactly how I wanted the new pizza and went over the ingredients again with me. He made me a new pizza for no additional cost.
