Restaurante Damasco, Córdoba, Spain
On our recent trip to Córdoba, we discovered Restaurante Damasco, a hidden treasure offering Middle Eastern cuisine that combines the best of Lebanese and Syrian flavors. Our meal was a culinary journey that left a lasting impression.
We started with the Arayes de Carne y Queso, which were not only beautifully presented but tasted out of this world. The dish balanced seasoned meat and melted cheese in a crispy bread that was simply unforgettable. Next, we indulged in their Hummus, which was velvety smooth, fresh, and paired perfectly with warm pita bread. The highlight, however, was the Kabse with Lamb—tender, flavorful lamb on a bed of fragrant rice, cooked to perfection. Each bite was packed with spices that made the dish rich and satisfying.
Beyond the incredible food, what made our experience truly special was the warm hospitality. The owner welcomed us like family, taking time to share the origins of the dishes and ensuring we felt right at home.

Read moreRestaurante Damasco is a true culinary treasure in Córdoba! From the moment we stepped in, we felt warmly welcomed by the owner, a kind and knowledgeable Syrian gentleman from Damascus. His hospitality was unmatched—he took the time to help us navigate the menu and suggested some standout dishes, which turned out to be absolutely perfect.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic—cool, inviting, and full of charm. It has a wonderful vibe that makes you feel right at home while still offering a unique dining experience.
We started with the hummus, kibbe, and the Alcázar salad, all of which were incredible. The hummus was creamy and flavorful, the kibbe had the perfect texture, and the Alcázar salad was a zesty, refreshing delight.
For the main courses, we shared the arayes and chicken kabse, and both dishes were outstanding. The arayes were perfectly spiced and satisfying, while the chicken kabse stole the show—the rice was bursting with flavor, and every bite was a joy.
The combination of authentic Syrian cuisine, exceptional service, and a great atmosphere makes this a must-visit spot. Tastes like home.
Highly,...

First visit to Cordoba in the company of my mother. We both love the flavours of Arabic cuisine so we frequent this kind of restaurant, and the restaurant's rating caught my attention. Beware of trip advisor errors...always call to check if it's really open or closed, this time it was a great decision to do so. Incredibly friendly and attentive staff. We were recommended the Mutabal, the best I have ever tasted, indescribable. My mother ordered Foul Bezzeit, beans are not my passion, but I found the sauce that accompanied them spectacular with that range of flavours. My main, Chicken Kabseh, meat, super tender, rice, surprises with every bite with the aromas of cloves, cardamom...each one different from the last. The lemon and mint juice, delicious. A 10 is an underscore. Honestly, the best I've ever eaten, no exaggeration...and food is my downfall...I love to eat...
