We read the excellent reviews on Google Maps and decided to go for dinner. The decoration and the ambient in Fika are very nice. Also the service was fast and kind. The problem was with the food - it just wasn't good, in fact, it was bad.
We took 2 starters: Potatoes "Fika style", and Hummos. The potatoes were covered with too many spices (that made them almost inedibles). They came with 3 different types of dipping sauces that didn't add nothing due to the excessive seasoning of the potatoes. Ah, and one of the souces tasted exactly like :Mercadonas tomatoes souce" from a can. The Hummos tasted good but was too dens (and not creamy). It came with small pieces of toasted bread and few cutted vegetables without any treatment (10 euros for that...). The seconds were even worse (in our opinion): Spirulina crep filled with so much melted cheese that almost gave us heartburn. Belgium waffles with eggs, dried Kale, Tuber mushroom sauce and more. For me, there were too many things on that plate, and the combination of all wasn't successful at all. We decided not to try the deserts from obvious reasons.
In summary: I think there are a lot of nice intentions in Fika (ambient and hospitality), but the food just isn't good enough. Really don't understand how there are so many positive reviews for this place in its current situation - what those people used to eat in...
Read moreEating at Fika is delightful - right from the service, down to the food. We ate brunch and dinner here, and as vegetarians we were so grateful for the array of delicious options. The service here was amazing, in the afternoons we met Paul, and in the evening the serving staff were lovely, and they're all so attentive and friendly.
The crêpes were so good we had to order another one immediately, and their risotto with Roquefort (El risotto de temporada) was also another favourite. We would highly recommend the L'Alvocat which is vegan. The red velvet cake was also the best I've had - moist, not too sweet, very fresh and the icing was so creamy.
Overall the ambience is beautiful with plenty of places to sit. I'd recommend calling ahead to make a reservation for dinner, but that's not...
Read moreRestaurant al Top 5 de Caldes de Montbui, no són ràpids, no són barats, però és bo! És un restaurant que cal tastar si visites caldes, però compte! Només obren de dijous a diumenge i aprofiten qualsevol excusa per estirar algun dia de festa.
L'espai És un local molt agradable, t'hi sents còmode, tens fins i tot algun sofà per àpats més informals, en general un 10, és clar que sempre es pot millorar, la música ambient sona amb els baixos un xic forts i no totes les cadires són aptes per penjar-hi la jaqueta darrera, però són detallets molt petits que no li treuen l'excel·lent.
El Menjar Al Fika hi trobem una cuina vegetariana, però no lleugera, pots sortir molt tip si fas dos plats i unes postres. Segurament és el millor lloc per dur-hi aquell amic que sempre diu que no podria ser vegetarià al·legant que passaria gana menjant només enciam. Des de la Maggy Burger, fins a la torrada d'alvocat, passant per les "patates Fika", les carxofes esperades, els arrossos o els ous benedictins, hi viuràs una experiència de gustos ben combinats i de presentació impecable.
Pocs restaurants vegetarians d'aquesta qualitat hi ha a Catalunya i tot i que el temps l’ha castigat una mica i la carta ja mo sorprèn segueix sent una bona opció.
També tenen sucs acabats de fer, que faran més lent el servei, jo rai que soc de fer cerveseta, però és una coseta a tenir en compte si vas amb pressa.
El servei L'atenció del personal és sempre excel·lent si més no per part del personal habitual. Independentment del tracte proper per ser ja clients habituals, sempre tenen ganes d'atendre i de servir i fer-te gaudir.
