Absolute top notch restaurant! Me and my family discovered the owners at their first restaurant when we went to Calpe quite a few years ago and loved it so much then! We came back this year and hunted them down again to discover they reopened and relocated but are still as good as ever! Their food is perfection, the owners are so kind and will make time for a chat even when run off their feet. The fact the owner speaks various languages is so helpful to all tourists and locals. I did chuckle when the owner said his salads were the best around but boy was he right, he’s right to toot his own horn! Me personally, I love the little sweets that are given in the chests with the bill at the end, it’s the tiny detail that made me realise it was the same place all these years later, still want to know where to get my hands on some 😂 Overall, lovely place! We have been coming here for many years and after a gap of 3 years, looking forward to coming again. The place has doubled in size since our last visit, but that is not the only change. The food was average at best. Our orders were taken wrongly which meant me and my sister in law had to eat ours after the other 5 in our group had finished. This was not reflected in the final bill. Previously the food has been prepared and cooked with care, this time the Lumberjack pork steak was dry and tough, my son said his steak tasted like a supermarket one and my wife's lamb skewers were lacking taste and sauce. What a pity that a once great restaurant now appears to have gone downhill. I can only assume it is because of the change of ownership. This restaurant is a breath of fresh air and an unexpected treat right on the promenade in Calpe, with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean and I’fach. The food and hospitality outstanding. The menu is varied, featuring German cuisine. The salads are something special. I’m not sure what goes into the house dressing, but it’s addictive. There is a delightful couple that own and operate the restaurant and serve as hosts, while performing all the other duties behind the scenes.
