PIZZERIA TRATTORIA “SICILIA”. — Restaurant in Calp

I visited this restaurant with my wife and two kids after making a reservation over the phone. The staff were really friendly on the phone. After arriving to the restaurant and confirming the Covid pass, the waitress started behaving in a very rude way, when we asked her to reduce the volume of the TV because the music was too loud. Then we decided to change the table to one a bit far away from the noise of the TV, the the waitress completely snapped and started shouting in Spanish and banging the plates and cutlery on the table.

We were completely shocked by this behaviour, especially that we had little kids with us, and we found no explanation to this, except that it was triggered by racism, especially that my wife w as wearing a hijab. We left before even ordering anything!!! I recommend to avoid this restaurant...

Pongo 1 estrella porque vinimos hace unos días y el trato fue exquisito. Nos atendió Carlo y salimos encantados. Como nos gustó tanto, decidimos repetir antes de terminar las vacaciones. Esta vez había una señora sirviendo las mesas, no sé el nombre. Pedimos un par con ali-oli, una pizza sciacca y una agrigento. El pan nos lo trajeron enseguida, pero sin mantel ni bebidas. El pan era del día anterior por lo menos, pero el ali-oli era decente. Terminamos todo el pan sin las bebidas ni el mantel. Tuve que entrar y recordarle a la camarera que se le habían olvidado, a lo que ni siquiera se disculpó y me dijo que ahora iba.

Nos trajo las bebidas y esperamos un buen rato a las pizzas (en total desde que pedimos pasó casi una hora). Cuando llegaron las pizzas se le volvieron a olvidar los manteles y los cubiertos y nos los dió para que los pusieramos nosotros. Al ver la pizza agrigento me fijé que traía tomate cherry en vez de tomate fresco como ponía en la carta ( en la sciacca especificaba que era cherry por lo que no hay confusión) le pregunté a la camarera y me dijo que era tomate cherry. Comi un cacho y no me gustó nada por lo que comprobé la carta y efectivamente yo tenía razón por lo que la devolvimos. Al final me quedé sin cenar porque la camarera me dijo que era tomate cherry fresco y se quedó así. No tuve ganas de pedir otra cosa.

Cuando entramos a pagar el cocinero nos quería cobrar la pizza y se puso a discutir con nosotros de muy malas formas. NO...

Gluten free for sure, have no doubt. I recommend their coulant de chocolate, and surprisingly it was delicious before heating. So, if you are intolerant to gluten, the coulant is a must if you like chocolatey deserts. Also, they lately reduced the thickness of the dough, so it bakes far better.
