My partner booked this restaurant for us as a treat before we went home from our holiday. Itâs located in a very small street with quite a few restaurants dotted along it with some very nice local touches for decorations in the street. We ordered the chefâs special Bravas Caserasi (potatas bravas )with some freshly baked bread as a. Small starter, these were absolutely delicious! For our main my partner ordered Pollo Tikka Masala on blanched corn cokes ( like a potato rosti ), which she thoroughly enjoyed, and I ordered Costello black Angus especialidad ( speciality black Angus rib) which was a slow cooked black Angus rib in a port sauce. I must say that this was absolutely done to perfection. The meat just fell off the bone and was unbelievably tasty finally for desert my partner had Bizcocho which was cinnamon ice cream nugget fluid and almond crumble. I went for the chocolate enigma which was a trio of moose ice cream and cream , both of which were extremely tasty. The staff were very polite and attentive but not intrusive and very Good at explaining what the foods were in English , as our Spanish is not that good Iâm afraid. As a summary I could highly recommend this restaurant but booking will probably be required in the busy times of the year. First visit, lovely lady that was very helpful with the menu (food, 1 allergy and wine), top notch service and very excited to go back. Came back second time, different server (male) that was rude and horrible service, food came out cold. Also, was charged for 2 bottles of wine (we only had one) and my partner didnât notice when he was paying. When we stepped outside I thankfully checked the bill and caught this, they refunded the difference in cash (paid via credit card). Third visit, same male server as the second visit, again rude, dismissive and had fully served a table that sat 5 minutes after us before he had even stopped by to ask for our drink order (let alone food). We waited patiently for about 25 minutes since we sat, until we finally got up and left. He was not apologetic at all when we left and told him why we were leaving.
Also, there were NO managers on site for both of these last two visits. Thus the male server most likely acts as the manager while on shift, and he absolutely has no capability or desire to resolve these negative situations.
Unfortunate, as the place has a lot of potential outside that male server. It would be a one star, if it wasnât for the amazing lady that served us...
   Read moreOur second visit to Enigma. We sat inside as was too busy outside. Maybe this was a mistake as service wasn't as good. We had a nice bottle of white wine which was just left on the table, nothing to keep it cold which was diaappointing but I just ordered some ice which we got in the end.
Our croquette starter came quite cold and at the same time as the pulpo main dish which meant they must have forgotten the starter and brought it together. A shame but all very tasty.
The lamb was very tasty but the best dish in the end was the dessert (which I very rarely ever want) but the passionfruit creme catalan was a perfect dessert and almost made us forget the bad part of the service.
