Absolutely fantastic. THE best Tapas ever! We have been searching for authentic Spanish Tapas and the local bars are good. After reading other reviews visited As De Oro. Wow. Amazing. Great service. Great food. Perfect location. Quiet Spanish street with tables along the side. Good prices (not expensive) and certainly worth a visit. We had meatballs the evening before our lunch stop when wondering around Calpe. They were perfect, with a hint curry/coriander? 🤤 delicious. We returned for a lunch break and tried the shared platter. Wow. Cheese sticks were beautiful, BBQ chicken wings were lovely. Stuffed Muscles were lovely. Battered king prawns 🥰. The patter came With lovely sauces/dips that accompanied the food perfectly. Prawns in ‘pan’ were beautiful, and very interactive (need pull heads and legs off). Burgers and salads also available. He waited recommended the Octopus which we tried - very good (octopus can be a little chewy). Cannot fault the food in any way. BUT, do try to speak in Spanish as this is a very authentic Spanish restaurant. And for added benefit, there is also a Spanish bakery opposite (we haven’t tried buying from here, but will next time we visit Calpe) Prices removed from photos as you need to visit and try the food - not check or compare prices for others. No comparison with bar tapas. Best food tasted, perhaps better than Thai...

It is a shame I can't give you a zero and no star at all cause you really don't deserve it. We ordered some tapas and a hamburger. It began with an acid full of vinegar and tastless saladia Russa. At that point we thought ok let's wait the other tapas. Then came the chicken wings. My goodness what a shame! It was cooked the day before and marinated in a kind of chicken sauce to shade the bad and unfresh taste. We though well give it one more chance. Then came the hamburger waoooo what a bread, what a hamburger... Even burger king is better for less money. Guys I don't recommend this restaurant. The thing is that we were mislead by the crowd, Spanish customers which is generally a serious indicator of quality. But we saw at other tables that customers were not happy...

This has always been our favourite place when in calpe as The previous owner Miguel, was just lovely. It’s now changed hands but the service was just as friendly and food tasty. I have to say, their albondigas are probably the best we’ve had. Different from the standard style in most other places. We’ll continue to go back...
