5/5 Stars – A Hidden Gem Just Steps from the Beach
During our family vacation from the U.S., we stumbled upon Café des Steix in Santa Ponça, just a five-minute walk from the beach—and what a find it was. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for a fantastic dining experience.
The atmosphere is everything you’d want on a relaxed island getaway—laid-back, comfortable, and spacious enough to easily accommodate large groups. The staff went above and beyond, with friendly service that felt genuine and personal. Our waiters were attentive, got every order right, and the food came out quickly—a rare combo even in top-tier restaurants.
Every day, Café des Steix offers a meal of the day, but the true standout for us was their paella—hands down the best we’ve had on the island. Rich, flavorful, and clearly made with fresh ingredients, it alone is worth the visit.
Prices here are incredibly affordable, especially for the quality. The draft beer and cocktails were excellent, and we couldn’t get enough of the bread served with ali oli butter—a perfect starter.
Shoutout to the bartender, who might be the hardest-working person in the room, and to the chef, whose culinary skills deserve more recognition. This team works in perfect harmony to deliver a memorable experience.
At its core, Café des Steix is a true café, whether you’re dropping by for a quick coffee, a cocktail, or digging into a rib burger—you simply can’t go wrong.
We’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Mallorca. Highly...
Read moreSaw the ratings on Google and figured it was worth a try. I invited a couple of friends along to dine at Café des Teix. The café is located right out to a busy street and there were dogs in the restaurant, but we gave it a shot. We ordered garlicbread, spaghetti bolonaise, burger and chicken curry. When waiting for our food, we were served some bread, olives and mayo and it was good. But then we got our Order and everything tasted OK, but the garlicbread was with so little garlicbutter, that we couldn't taste it. My burger tasted well but was with the smallest 200g beef I have ever had. The spaghetti bolonaise was also good, but served without Parmesan, which they brought when asked for and the chicken curry was good, but served with rice instead of the french fries that was ordered. All in all, most of the food was good, but every plate brought to the table was with flaws. When finished, we were offered a Tunel, a local...

The service was just as impressive: warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we arrived. A special thanks to Bernardo, whose kindness and attention to detail made our visit even more memorable. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the atmosphere are so perfectly balanced. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable meal in a truly...
