Chinese Restaurant Peking — Restaurant in Calvià

We are residents and visited this evening for the first time. The premises is a little old fashioned but very clean. The toilets are ok but need updating and my wife was disappointed with the lack of toilet roll. We opted for the €13.50 set meal just in case we were disappointed and I have to say you get what you pay for. The portions were as I would expect on a limited price range and as good as what you could expect for the price paid. The service was very good other than when I requested clean cutlery for the main course the lady didn't seem very happy. The main negative was cold plates. Not only were the plates you were given cold but also when the food had been cooked it was served on cold plates from the kitchen so this meant the food was only luke warm with the exception of the choice of a sizzling plate dish. I am glad we decided on the set menu as if the portion sizes,cutlery issue and cold plates are the same with the main menu then I would have definitely complained. I will probably return at some point but not for a nice meal out with my wife as there are much better options in palmanova albeit a for an extra €4 each. For a late night meal after a few beers it is adequate for the price. I think the actual food quality considering the owners are working within a €13.50 price range is a good as you could expect but it was the other issues that made the evening not as good...

Pleasantly surprised by this Chinese restaurant. We went here to have food our first night and sat in the open section of the roof restaurant. Very nice atmosphere in the heat and a refreshing breeze to keep us cool! The service was excellent, each person was attentive without being overbearing.

We got chicken noodle soup and chicken and sweetcorn soup to start, chicken curry, crispy salt and pepper chicken with rice and chips for mains and one person got a dessert. I also ordered satay sauce but it didn't taste like satay as it had something (maybe too much soy sauce?) which changed the flavour / texture.

For the price, the food was much better than expected. Everything was a little too salty but very fresh and good quality - definitely no reheating of food like some Chinese restaurants seem to favour. The noodle soup was a little dark, again I think too much soy but I liked it.

I would eat here again but maybe try order less salty dishes than the crispy chicken and chicken curry. Fresh and reasonably priced, with good atmosphere and service. That's all you want in the heat after a...

A gem in terms of tastfull dining. I got the small portion of chicken mushroom soup and the small portion of chick curry with fried rice, delicious and plenty for me. The staff is kind and the food was excellent so definately worth a visit, even though it isn't spanish cuisine. 4 stars because the interior is old and it is not for those who have a problem with stairs, because it is located on about 2 floor.

Update, a year later it is still good eating and the meals Look the same. The chicken mushroom soup as reference.
