Upon waiting to be seated, my partner and I were very excited to eat here cause we noticed a lot of people having around this spot every single day during our vacation, thinking the food and staff would be an amazing experience, but this was not the case.
After getting seated, we started noticing the music was very loud to the point where we almost couldn't hear each other having a conversation. We spoke English to the hostess who first seated us, thinking it would be obvious we didn't speak nor read Spanish, but the lady with light hair and piercings decided to give us Spanish menus. We had to use our phones to translate until another waiter came and asked what we'd like to order, where we said we'd like the English menus so we actually could decide. He fetched us the correct menus, and my partner decided on a burger with a beer while I ordered the Bufala pizza with a strawberry daiquiri. Our drinks arrived. My drink was beautifully presented with the garnishes on top, though the drink didn't resemble a proper strawberry daiquiri, having worked as a flair bartender before in time. The drink was alcoholic and watery, though beautiful on pictures, so the restaurant/pizzaria/cocktail bar (as they present themselves as) is a good IG photo op for your feed. A third waitress came to serve the food. At this point, three people had been in contact with us.
My pizza arrived very burned on the one side, while having had too much tomato sauce, which literally made it seem like I was served soup in a pizza crust. On the menu, it states that the bufala pizza gets served with fresh basil on top, but there was none in sight. The crust, apart from being very burned on the one side, was fine. Due to all the liquids, it made the bottom of the pizza very chewy and hard to cut through with a knife and fork. It tasted alright, though the grams of cheese they stated on the menus was no where in sight. It tasted overall okay. There is nothing to brag about, very average tasting pizza.
My partner ordered a burger with fries and said it was decent. It's much better than the American place two or three restaurants down the road.
In the middle of the dinner, the music all of a sudden got turned down, and the staff started prepping for the dinner run. It made the dining experience a tad better and helped the overall experience, though it was very poor due to the service.
After eating dinner, we decided to ask for the desserts menu, which arrived on a small A5 blackboard. No prices were shown, nor are allergens mentioned. We decided on getting two cheesecakes and two coffees with it, though the waitress, after asking my partner first for his order, didn't take my order at all (she basically just left the table to fetch his order) and came back with a coffee and cheesecake for him. We asked if she'd get the same for me as well, and she seemed a little surprised that we didn't order it while she was getting his order, which we never had a chance to do. She gets my order, a cheese cake, and a coffee and I notice the cake is served with crushed pistachios on top, which wasn't stated on the menu (the A5 blackboard they haul to the table), which could potentially be hazardous to people allergic to nuts.
The cheesecake comes from a plate that sits behind the bar, covered in film. They add the strawberry sauce from a condiment bottle and sprinkle pistachios on it afterwards. The strawberry cheesecake (which is labelled as "cheesecake" on the menu, was decent. My partner enjoyed it, while I thought it was a bit lacking in taste and the texture of the cheese was a little gritty. The bottom (the biscuit mixture) was good, not too hard, and had a nice texture.
You choose the restaurant for the pretty pictures for Instagram, the location next to the beach, and the view of the beach. Not the service nor the food. The food is decent, but not the greatest. The prices are very average for the area.
The first waitress who seated us just refused to speak English in general, which kinda sucked. The two others were...
Read moreI don’t understand the good reviews of this place as my husband and I decided to try it as it looked nice from the outside, bear in mind we are on holiday and very clearly not from this place (I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it) but anyways we went in and the waiter sat us down and gave us menus, that was fine, but when he came back to take our drinks order we asked him which San Pellegrino flavours they had and he clearly mentioned san pellegrino Red which is blood orange flavour so we said yes and ordered it but to our amazement sparkling water came out instead, we didn’t question because we thought maybe it was our fault but doing some later research the red is definitely blood orange flavour. So after that another waiter came and took our food order, I ordered the tagliatelle bolognaise and my husband ordered the margarita pizza. The pasta was undercooked and gummy I could hardly chew it which was really off putting as it could have done with a few more minutes cooking time, the pizza was bland, tasteless and lukewarm which was disappointing. Not to mention there was a waitress who worked there crying in the middle of the floor while people were eating which we thought was a bit strange… then there was another waitress who came over and asked if we were finished, while not even looking at either of us we said yes but not the side of chips we had ordered so she looked at us gone out then huffed and walked away without taking any dirty plates or glasses. A different waiter then came over and took the plates away. The original waiter the came back with the bill so we paid and left as quickly as we could. The whole place just felt like a money grab and no care or attention from any of the staff, very disappointed and will never...
Read moreThe WORST experience I have ever had in a “restaurant” in my life. It was our first dinner in Mallorca and unfortunately we stepped into this place. Besides that the food was awful, extremely salty and inexplicably expensive, I went in the bathroom and I WAS LOCKED IN ! The locker in the ladies room (which is the same with DISABLED PEOPLE!) automatically locks you in and I was inside for over 10 minutes screaming and no one was hearing me!! For my bad luck it was the first time I went to the toilet without my phone on me. I thought I was having a panic attack and the air was decreasing. After 10 minutes, I decided that the only way out was to somehow broke the door and that’s what I did. I KICKED THE DOOR over and over and suddenly the locker was started to get loose till it finally opened . After I got out, I was in shock and described what happened to the first waiter that I stepped into. He got me some water and he told me this has happened again and that it was ok that I broke the door. He told me their boss is aware of that but doesn’t do anything and maybe now that I broke it myself will finally fix it!!??!????!!! All the stuff in this place knows about it but they are just employees, they can’t do something about it. Of course at the end they didn’t even told us to pay less or do something as an apology. So, please if you read this don’t don’t DONT GO at this place it...
