Popped in at around 8pm planning on a few drinks and a pizza. The bar is self service, no waiters taking orders. The San Miguel pints were fantastic value at €2.50 and in a frosted glass. However the service was slow, and the restaurant seemed a bit unclean. The man forgot my frozen cocktail and I had to remind him. The cocktail wasn’t worth the €8 and I didn’t finish it. It was also extremely quiet with no atmosphere. Their ice cream is also cheap at €1.70 per scoop, worth it for the price but I found it to be a tad icy. Overall it’s okay but we decided against ordering the pizza in the end. EDIT I am extremely confused at the owners response? My mam had 3 pints of beer and I had half a cocktail? We were there for maximum 1 hour and didn’t move tables once. I didn’t say the place was filthy I just observed the floors could’ve been cleaned, they weren’t wet with beer? We didn’t speak to the woman at all as she was serving ice cream the entire time we were there. I don’t know why the owner is either mixing us up with another customer or making things up. We under no circumstances were refused service for being so drunk, nor argued with the woman about children? This is a ridiculous response that seems to tell you all about this restaurant. He is genuinely making things up at this point, no idea what planet he’s on about songs or children. Looking at past reviews you can see he can’t take some criticism without piling on lies in response. This lying about us bullying a woman is ridiculous and has caused me to change my star...
Read moreDreadful. Absolutely horrid experience. The woman out the front selling the ice cream was SO RUDE. We wanted to take a photo with the nightmarish ice cream cone figure out front and she started to yell and hurdle verbal abuse at us and our parents. A disgrace. Avoid. EDIT TO ADD: You're maybe confusing us with other people, we walked past the cone just after 10:30pm, there was no line of people (in fact there were no people waiting at the time), and we didn't even see your ice creams, much less make faces at your product. We wanted to take a selfie with the funny looking figure, we saw nobody behind the counter because the woman was hunched back looking at her phone (since there were no customers waiting), and it was after we were done with the selfie, that the rude woman realised and started to yell at us for no reason. We didnt even touch the figure... The scene was caused by that horrible woman yelling, not us. Get your facts straight, it was embarrassing and you'renot fixing it by blatantly lying (perhaps you are indeed mistaking us for other people... which is no excuse). And I never wrote the review in Spanish, but I can tell you in Spanish - fue vergonzoso y os estáis inventando cosas. Un...
Read moreAs an Italian, I'd be ashamed to call this place "authentic italian". I went there after reading few good reviews and that's all. When I saw that the owner is italian, I expected to have delivered food like in my home country. Ordered pizza margherita, so a classic. And cocktails. Pizza dough was more of a bread dough, extremely thick and with intense olive oil flavor. Yes, pizza dough have olive oil, but not that you can feel the taste of it.
The tomato base, wont call it "passata di pomodoro".. extremely salty (I eat very salty, but that was over the limit for me) and out of a low cost can. Tasted like a damn aluminum can. No mozzarella, just melted cheese, but I could live with that if the rest was good. Pizza is cut in little squares (like you would cut a brownie) in the kitchen, not even in front of me, which was very shocking. Either way, all I could do is eat few squares. As a honest review, even my kids had a bad opinion about that pizza and stated clearly to never go again there. The cocktail was...
