La Vista Palmanova — Restaurant in Calvià

I know 5 stars is a very generous grade, but I was very happy with everything. I really like the atmosphere and vibe. In the early evening we felt very welcome with our toddler and infant, and thanks to the relatively loud (not too loud) music, our tired infants outbursts didn’t disturb anyone.

Me and my fiancé shared two starters, loaded nacho's and a plate of two steak tacos. The tacos came with fresh pico de gallo and were really flavourful and were just large enough to have in a few bites.

The loaded nacho's were loaded indeed. A bit too much cheese for my personal taste, but that’s more me being picky than they actually overloading it with cheese. We emptied the plate!

For main my fiancé had the tuna tataki which she loved, and she also loved the sauce, which she asked to get some more of.

I got the steak filet made medium rare and I’m very happy with my choice! The steak was big! Probably 300-350 grams and made a little more rare than the ”medium rare” I'm used to at home in Stockholm, but not so rare it felt raw. The meat were very tender. I had it with a creamy pepper sauce that gave the dish some spicy sting.

The staff is very accommodating and the service we received greatly surpassed or expectations.

I would definitely recommend a visit...

I visited this restaurant recently and was left quite disappointed. I ordered the grilled prawns, not realizing they’d come whole with the heads and shells on. That in itself wasn’t a big issue, but I found it really difficult to remove the shells as the prawns were very large.

What really put me off was that they hadn’t been properly cleaned — the digestive tract (poop) was still inside. I mentioned this to the staff, and they offered to have the chef remove the shells and clean them, which I appreciated. However, when they came back, although the shells were off, the digestive tract was still visible. That completely killed my appetite. I wasn’t sick, but I definitely lost interest in eating.

A staff member did check in, and I told them it was making me feel sick. I asked for the bill. What disappointed me more was that the woman who I believe was a manager — and who originally helped get the prawns taken back — never returned to check if everything was okay. Instead, someone else was sent to ask if we wanted dessert as we were leaving.

Overall, the service felt impersonal, and I think more care could’ve been taken. At the very least, they could have offered an alternative dish or shown more concern. Unfortunately, I won’t...

My husband and I visited in early October 2024. We shared a salad, croquettes and paella. FIRST THE FOOD. The salad was barely edible. The croquettes were terrible. The filling flavor and texture was horrible, probably frozen. The paella was terrible. It consisted of ONLY barely cooked rice with pieces of "dry" chicken. It had NO FLAVOR! There was one long strand of HUMAN HAIR wrapped around and stuck on a piece of chicken. The only thing authentic about the paella was the pan. I can make delicious paella at home with a box recipe BUT IN SPAIN THEY CAN'T? NEXT THE SERVICE. The table was washed as we waited to be seated and still the side of the table was sticky.
