I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now, once in June 2018 and recently may 2023! Both times i’ve really enjoyed it her. My first visit was just the room, but this time we went all inclusive and our room was bigger (wasn’t requested think we got lucky). I love the location of the hotel it’s perfect for me and everything is 10-15 minutes away , the beach is minutes away, western water park about 5 mins drive, and the strip about 10 minutes! There’s some authentic restaurants near by and things like taco bell and McDonald’s which was perfect for my fussy self! In terms of all inclusive we were aware of the recent law changes in the area around alcohol and were fine with this, the only drinks available all inclusive are wine, Estrella and sangria, soft drinks were fine too! The cups you use a €1 deposit each and you get it back when you return the cup i believe this is to prevent plastic waste which is nice to see! However the food was quite disappointing, i’m a fussy eater so i usually stick to the basics, chips, pizza, pasta just boring foods but i found that they were quite bland and didn’t have much for them and my much less fussy boyfriend even said the fish had a lot of bones :( during lunch i ended up buying food from the pool bar for €8 and that was pretty tasty and evenings we ended up eating out most nights so all inclusive was quite pointless for us. There’s 4 pools i believe, the first is a quite calm pool with an in hotel shop, an indoor pool or “spa” they called it which was also quiet and had a sauna, a pool above reception and a “main pool” which is where we spent most of our time, it had a friendly holiday atmosphere and everyone kind of got to know each other, it was pretty kid friendly however it was may so term time and not many kids around. The room was nice and had a sofa bed which we ended up sleeping on due to it being comfier and closer to the tv lol! The staff were friendly but the maids didn’t make much effort. We used the Golf on sight, it was basic and run down but for €3 each it wasn’t bad for a relatively price course. Overall i was happy with my time at this hotel and the area, i’d stay here again but probably not all inclusive. Thank you for a pleasant stay! :)

Interesting stay. In general the cost via easyJet holidays was around £200 per night for two of us all inclusive, including flights, so my expectation wasn’t that high and overall I thought it was generally good value. It was grand though a little lacking in variety or clarity of what was included. I chose all inclusive for my daughter and I so she could have a bit of freedom regarding snacks etc. however snack times were very limited and could only be eaten in the restaurant even though own food or other outlet food could be eaten in other public areas. I also found the attitude towards children was passive at best. Rubber rings as swimming aids were referred to as floaties and we were asked to remove (we didn’t as it was a swimming aid). My daughter lost two teddy bears in the hotel, no one really cared to look and seemed no lost property. But worst of all when I visited reception to ask for an accident book I was given a complaint form that I completed in relation to an injury my 8 year old received on some decking in disrepair (photos attached notably these were taken on day 3 so started to heal as I hadn’t planned to complain but got cross that no one cared she was hurt or followed up). In the first aid kit there were plasters and eye wash, no would dressings or padding. No one responded to the complaint or enquired about my daughters injury thereafter. I went back to reception two days in a row to follow up but was told a manager was not present so I felt her injury was not taken seriously or cared about. She was fairly ok during the day barefoot and in the water but with shoes in the evening she was limping and I was restricted leaving the hotel very far as she couldnt walk far. This was extremely disappointing in response to a genuine concern. **Additional Comment in reply to response from guest relations: this visit was end of October. Injury was not caused by hot surface, temperatures ave 19-23 degrees max. It was caused by the disrepair of decking, raised screws, peeling and rough paint/stain. And the entire point of this review is lack of care to follow up.

Stayed here as part of a group of 8 girls and we had the apartment rooms that included kitchenettes. Our rooms were mostly clean, spacious enough and suited us well for sleeping and not much else, however I would say my white towels were really grubby with stains on but that’s the only bad thing I really noticed. We did two rooms of 3 and one room of 2 - the room for 2 was perfect size we had so much space each. Even though the rooms can fit up to 4 people, there’s no way you’d do it that comfortably with enough space for everyone’s stuff. Another downside is that you have to pay for the safe in your room (€4 a day) however ours was open when we arrived and worked all week without paying so we got really lucky. Both pools are genuinely really nice and I could lay out all day there the atmosphere was good but not like a party by any means it was pretty chill. Plus the smaller pool has a shop right next to it within the hotel which was handy for snacks and stuff whilst sunbathing. Reception staff were actually helpful whenever we needed them and between our rooms we had a couple issues, e.g toilet stopped flushing which was sorted out by staff really fast too. In terms of bringing people back as I know that’s a major point of interest for some, although no one in our group tried/ was interested in that, it was so noticeable how strict the door security were on checking wristbands on entry into the hotel at night - no way you’re getting some randomer past them. In terms of location, I’d say 5 minute walk to reach the first set of bars but 10 minutes walking to reach the actual strip - still decent location though we never found it too long. If you’re planning on cooking in the kitchen like we did, beware there is no washing up liquid or scrubber so we were a bit stuck with dirty pots just had to soak them for ages/ slosh the water around😂 Age range at the hotel was young too, may be down to the time we went (end of June) but most people we saw round the pool were like 18-22 I’d say.

Positives Really nice reception, pool areas and restaurant. Obviously been upgraded recently to give a great first impression. 1 bedroom apartments are a good size. Great size balconies twice what I have seen in other hotels. Great for chilling in the morning and evening. Great location a short walk to pubs, restaurants and the beach. Big park next door for kids Great facilities with tennis court, racket ball court, football pitch, volleyball court table tennis and mini golf. Great breakfast options with full English, continental, fruits and breads.

Negatives Rooms are a bit tired with black scuff marks on white walls. Limited facilities in room, no kettle or toaster (had to boil water in a pan for cups of coffee) General finish of rooms are not 4 star quality with poorly fitted units, plugs etc. Due to Magaluf law you can only get alcoholic drinks on the all inclusive at lunch and dinner times (this does cover 6 hours to be fair) however although the hotel has one bar inside and 2 pool side bars you can only get your free alcoholic drinks at the inside bar which as often covered by 1 bar staff for the full hotel. Seemed a shame other bars could not be used as they had the same drinks available but you had to pay for them. Pool did not open till 10am which may work for those who have been partying but I like to get poolside early as I am not out past midnight. Food was ok but choice was limited and very similar daily and at lunch and dinner. Deserts were also poor and very small portions. Snacks between meals are very poor, I have stayed at all inclusive before where you can get alcohol drinks round the pool and they also have pizza, pasta and burgers available between meals and if you have missed breakfast it’s really handy. This hotel offered cold meats, cheese and bread (no butter) which was disappointing. Unfortunately with all the great facilities there were no structured activities such as table tennis, mini golf, volleyball competitions. Hotel can be loud between 9-1am with parties on balconies before people head out. Not too bad when they return but there was the odd loud inconsiderate group at 5-6am. Security will deal with this if you let reception know. Bottles of water only available via vending machine at .€2.70 which is very expensive for a small bottle.

All in all it’s not a 4 star hotel/apartments it’s a 3 star at best. The hotel tends to have too many restrictions on it’s all inclusive offer. Too many rules where you can take drinks on an evening. Smoking not allowed by the pool (most ignore this) but to think you have to leave sun-bed and go outside the hotel is crazy.

I have generally scored 3/5 as I have stayed in worse and probably would return expecting 3 star and probably not all inclusive as the drinks options are poor (no spirits at all and only alcohol (beer, wine, sangria at 1 bar for free)

They just need to stop all the rules and restrictions, felt like a child at times. I’m sure they put them in place due to previous issues but as an adult who is responsible it felt like I had to be restricted due to younger guests making...

Good afternoon,

We booked our holiday throughout Onthebeach website to HM Martinique hotel from Magaluf from 8.04.23-15.05.23 ,suppose to be an All inclusive holiday .Me and my daughter we are both living with coeliac disease ,we did sent an email to the hotel on 25.02.23 to let them know about our dietary requirements and they never respond back ,on our first day arriving to the hotel we informed the receptionist about our special diet and they send us to the bar and us to informe the staff about our requirements, which we did .Was 5 PM in the afternoon when we checked in and was the snack time ,we gone to the dinning area where they had pizza, hamburgers, etc but for me and my daughter they came with 3 slices of bread and said that unfortunately at that hour the kitchen cannot cook anything for us I did asked to speak with the kitchen chef but they replied blank that he cannot come as the chefs are busy .I ended up to go to Aldi supermarket and bought food for around £200 to make sure my daughter who is only 6 years old is not feeling discriminated or is starving .I tried to cook her similar food almost every breakfast , lunch and dinner with what the restaurant had in their meniu. After 2 days some friends who lives locally and they speak Spanish come to make a complain to the hotel manager about no one come in the first couple of days of our accommodation to ask us if we want anything to eat from their restaurant despite they seen us every day coming with cooked food from our room ,also to bring into their attention that we payed for an all inclusive holiday .The hotel manager was GDM ,we spoke with him and he tried to speak with the kitchen chef who told us that for the rest of the holiday they can cook us pasta and rice and they will show us what we can eat from their daily meniu .I raised my concerns with the kitchen chef that on their food stands are a lot of cross contamination per example: the chicken nuggets are in front of the boiled rice and everyone picking the nuggets the breadcrumbs from the nuggets where dropping on top of the rice, also no food allergens are been displayed for any type of food which was Worrying and concering for us . One night I asked to speak with one of the chefs and to show me what I can offer to eat to my daughter from their displayed food ,he came out and start showing me some foods including gluten pasta ,when I stop him and asked him if that pasta is gluten free he realised he done a mistake and start laughing and telling me is not .I founded disrespectful to laugh about someone medical disability . From the all holiday of 7 days they boiled me twice gluten free pasta and one time rice .We did payed for an all inclusive holiday and the hotel was not compliant with our dietary requirements, also they wasnt prepared for persons with food allergies or food intolerance. I was needed to go on restaurants where they catered for people like me and my daughter gluten free food or to cook our meals...

wouldn’t recommend to anyone! Our Review of Hm Martinique

This hotel did not exceed our expectations at all for £2506 for 9 nights! If you enjoy sleep on your holiday or are travelling with children avoid at all costs children are not allowed floats, armbands etc the lifeguard took arm bands off a child in a child’s shallow pool the child was less likely 3 years old if that was me I would demand a refund, the power has gone to their heads unfortunately, have to pay €12 an hour for a football pitch that’s on the hotel, the lifeguards are really strict and frankly bloody rude, Things that are not allowed unless it’s they’re own kind of people (Spanish) to have music round the pool (low volume) seen many peoples speakers get confiscated, not allowed to bring your own drink or food from the on site shop they will put it in the bin!! they would rather you buy food and drink from the bar hut that’s expensive €21 for two vodka slushes where on the strip you could get four for that plus free shots, we complained every night regarding noise levels. Balconies were filled with people singing/screaming and banging around untill 6:30am! The hotel is more concerned about floats in the pool then people screaming and throwing glass bottles at each other smashing everywhere (Scottish & English you know they hate each other, people sick outside your room door or corridor , people running up and down until early hours had people play knock down ginger on the doors three nights in a row the fourth night someone knocked and tried to enter our room with their key card to their room how drunk do you need to be to figure out that’s not your room , my partner got up from a dead sleep fuming at 5am to undo the door to tell the lad to do one in many words if you catch my drift it’s the wrong room the lad was absolutely legless, The hotel hire BCM nightclub representatives that go around trying to get people to buy their tickets to events and we heard them encouraging others to meet in groups and ‘pre party’ and ‘after party’ at the hotel! , The hotel just needs to rebrand, it states its a family hotel all I’m bloody seeing is 18 -21 year olds in massive groups that take all the loungers fourth night in about 20 lads &15 girls turned up and took al the loungers and the hotel does day passes so it’s abit unfair that people have paid over 3 grand and can’t get a lounger or a decent nights sleep if we had the money and if the other hotels wasn’t fully booked we would’ve left the first day!! And I might add The life guard with no teeth hitting on girls that are Spanish asking for their numbers aswell, also the place stinks of weed! & to top it off had to lug all of our lounge down the stairs because the lift was out of order 6 th floor at 6am like really , now we’re Ill because they don’t clean the pool my partner and I both caught chest infection, sickness and diarrhoea fevers sinus infection and got rushed to hospital, so worst...
