Booking taken for party of 15 , on arrival we were told we would have a long wait for food if we all wanted to eat different meals so could we all pick similar meal ! Strange but we said we didn't want starters just main meals and four of us decided to have the same paella, others all chose either pizza or burgers and three ordered pasta so kept everything simple. We were then told no paella available on evenings as we only have one oven and we need it for pizza. ? We changed our meals and had a long wait, we arrived at 20:15 and started getting our meals at 21:45, I say started to get our meals as some of our party got them others didn't or had something missing, others were delivered the wrong meal ( spaghetti bolognaise delivered twice but hadn't been ordered ) three of us who had initially wanted the chicken and rib paella changed to chicken with pepper sauce when it finally arrived it resembled a kids school meal with undercooked mini roast potatoes x6 a small floret of brocoli and three raw slivers of carrot. The chicken had been rolled with herbs , placed back in the skin in an attempt to make the dish look like finest quality bistro food. Sadly the chicken was cold and dry and even more so by the time the pepper sauce finally arrived. Oh yes regarding said sauce we ordered three as three of us had ordered the chicken ,we received ONE with barely anything in it and when we said we needed two more the manager said that's it there's no more that is for all three, usually you would get a tiny one. €10.50 on pepper sauce and only one person managed to scrape some out. When we complained about this and the fact other members of the party had finished thier meals whilst three were still awaiting the pasta they had ordered the manager raised his voice, was rude and unpleasant and basicly told us to calm down , he then went off on one and also added that he shouldn't have taken the booking as the party size was too big. To add one of the guests up and left the meal without eating anything due to the cold chicken with a lack of pepper sauce, other people near us within the restaurant ( 4-6 tables of two people/ four people ) were also having similar problems to us coplaining about the food and service so party size really doesn't matter. The food is mediocre at best with escalated prices for dressed up kids meals obviously to pay for the new posh decor from the previous establishment Gabys which was an absolutely fantastic restaurant with excellentstaff and attentionto detail and tour enjoyment !!! The manager was extremely bad mannered with an attitude and honestly hasn't got a clue with regards customer enjoyment and promoting a nice environment, the sevice was without doubt the worst we've had in all our years and years coming to Paguera. The view from the restaurant is beautiful as its right on the beach but not worth it to sit and...

This was our second visit in a week to S’Oblada because the food is just that good! We were regulars during the restaurant’s first year, when it focused mainly on seafood, but last year it seemed to lose its way a little and the service had declined.
This year, however, what a fabulous transformation! The service and hospitality are now unrivalled. Sofia, who manages front of house, is absolutely incredible — she makes every customer feel truly special.
I had the steak on the stone on both visits — cooked right at the table, exactly to my liking each time — unbeatable! My husband chose the Moroccan tagine, full of flavour and beautifully presented, and enjoyed it just as much on our return visit.
We couldn’t resist dessert: I went for the highly recommended chocolate coulant, wonderfully light with that rich, molten centre, while my husband had the delicate apple pastry, both served with ice cream — divine!
The owners also run another superb restaurant, Es Raor in Sant Elm, about a 15-minute drive away. It’s in an absolutely divine waterside location, where you can even arrive by boat and be greeted by The Crew. We only stopped for drinks this time, but I’ll be sure to review it properly on our next visit.
S’Oblada has well and truly won us back — outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. Be quick though — they close for the season this week!...
Read moreI recently visited S'Oblada, right on Pugeira Beach, for an early lunch, and it was a fantastic experience! The restaurant has a fresh, modern vibe, and the location itself is absolutely stunning. Sitting right by the beach, it's the perfect spot to enjoy a meal while taking in the sea view.
The food was great! We ordered a pizza, a Spanish omelette, and some bruschetta to start. The pizza was perfectly cooked with a deliciously crispy crust, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The Spanish omelette was also a standout—rich, fluffy, and full of flavor. The bruschetta was the ideal appetizer, with fresh, ripe tomatoes and just the right amount of seasoning.
As expected, the location does attract a slight premium, with prices being about 10% higher than similar places tucked away in the streets, but honestly, it's worth it for the ambiance and view.
What really made the experience special, though, was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The overall vibe of the place felt relaxed yet stylish.
Overall, I would highly recommend S'Oblada for anyone looking for good food, excellent service, and an unbeatable view. Whether you're in the mood for a casual bite or a leisurely meal by the beach, this place delivers....
