It’s been a while but I thought it’s never too late to share a good experience.
We had an accident on Christmas Eve and locked the key inside the accommodation we booked. Had to fly in the morning and couldn’t even enter to get our passports and luggage. Our Airbnb host didn’t reply for hours, until eventually only advised us to find a locksmith for our costs.
That was hard, as our phones were meanwhile almost dead, and almost everything seemed to be closed (outside of the season, and on Christmas Eve). We asked in the few places that we found open but no one could help us with info. On Google, it said all the locksmiths were closed. Mission impossible to get out flights in the morning, not even to find a hotel to sleep in for the night…
Our last hope was Los Poetos, about which we had a good feeling. We were welcomed by a friendly waiter who took the time to call a few numbers for us and found a locksmith, who was willing to come from Palma and open for us! We stayed for a few tequilas until he arrived. I find it impressive and rare that someone made the extra effort to help and show humanity! We were not even customers when we asked for help!
Looking forward to visiting for dinners and lunches on our next visit to Peguera. I hope the restaurant treats the staff as nice as the staff treats the customers, they deserve it! See you...
Read moreWe went there mid-week with a family of three at around 7pm. We quickly recognized that the restaurant seems very popular based on the vast majority of tables being reserved, while the restaurant itself offered a very big area of seating.
The initial service took a bit long based on the restaurant not being very crowded at that point. Also we were never asked about wanting to order a 2nd round of drinks. The intial drink orders have also been taken incorrectly unfortunately. Overall, the service seems a bit uncoorrinated (no real structure in responsibility within the staff).
The food was impeccable. All the dishes that we ordered were amazing. Rich taste, everything prepped freshly to order. The size of the starters (which is generally a variation of different tapas) matched well with the pricing. The pricing of the main courses was also fantastic.
The seating area feels crowded quite quickly as they make the most of the available space when it comes to setting up as many tables as possible. I'd assume that in summer the temperatures might be a bit better when they remove the transparent plastic shielding the "outside" areas. Now it became sweaty in an instant.
Would always come back for the quality and...
Read moreThis one is a hard one to note, I had a very good surprise, and also a very bad one.
Let's start with the good one. The Sangria was excellent, very well Presented and of good quality. Suite sad I forgot to take a picture coming to think of it. I would give it a 4.5 to 5 Star Rating.
I ordered Pimentos do padron as starters, and they were good, not exceptional, but good. So a flat 4, it's not a hard dish to prépare, so screwing those up is actually hard.
Then came the main course, Cordon Blue. Living in France, this is one of my favorite dishes to eat, and boy did they screw it up. I rarely don't finish my dish, but this time, I just couldn't. I can't gember having eaten something this nasty. It was tough, dripping in grease or butter (what you see below the lemon is actually the grease that solidified, not the cheese that is supposed to be inside bleu.
Since they staff was very nice and the Sangria was excellent, I gave it a 3, but due to the disatrous main course, I was sourly tempted to give this meal a 2...
