Saffron Desi — Restaurant in Calvià

Wanted to dinner with friends and a child, we came at the restaurant before 9 pm and order. At 10pm, still no food. We ask the waiter for bread or something to eat, they bring us a naan. Wait again.... ask politely that we are hungry and wait for a hour. The waiter apologize and tells us that : "we cook the delivery service first"... What ???! excuse me 😳😤😡🤬 ??!!!!

Beside, customers that came after us get served first 🤬🤬🤬😡😡 We ask for taking away our food because it was too hot inside the restaurant and again, we had to wait ! 😡😡😡🤬🤬

10:40 : we eat in the street. No spoons or forks, we have to go back and ask for it. Spoons and forks given was really dirty and had to washed them. No discount given for our bad experience...

The location was great right on promenade facing beach. I think it's one of the best Indian restaurants in Palma. We ended up having dinner two days continuously which normally we don't do. Both days we stared with house white wine and Red Label whiskey with Papadam. Over two day we had Onion Bhaji, Saag Paneer, Dal Tadka, Mattar Paneer, Balti Mili Juli Sabzi With Tandoor Roti. Food was well prepared and delicious on both days. On second day the Sabzi was brought on hot plate which kept it warm for longer time. The service was great thanks to our server Sahil. Only ended up here by accident as we were planning to go to an Indian restaurant in Magaluf but it was closed (despite Google saying open!) But very happy we jumped on the bus to Palmanova and sampled the delights of this little gem which apparently has been open for 20 years. We started by sharing popadums and dips and an onion bhaji before sharing a chicken madras, pilau rice and paratha-all delicious.
