We have since visited this place twice and have to say hands down is one of the best places in Cartagena for good authentic and unique tapas! During our first visit, we had a few tapas with copa (small beers) and was quickly impressed with the generous portion and delicious variety of tapas that came with it. Table service was excellent and overall vibe of the place was warm, relaxing and courteous. Though do note that it could get quite crowded during weekends and peak dinner hours, you just need to be a little more patient. We were super happy with the service that we decided to visit the second time with a friend visiting (seated upstairs, which has more privacy and great shield from this chilly weather) and once again we were superbly amazed by the food. The price range could be on the higher end (depending on what you order) however we would still say it's reasonable given the quality and authenticity of each dish. The name of dish may sound regular but be rest assured that it would not be your typical tapas / dish (all menu is served with a twist of their own style). Highly recommended to adventurous food seekers or simply anyone who is out to look for good food in the heart...
Read moreOur hotel receptionist recommended this place and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. We tasted Nam Tok ( tuna tataki), Classic Marinera Sailor (Russian Salad and achiouise on toast), Cheek and mushroom croquettes, Tigre and Lap Thai Salmon salad. The only thing I didn't like was hard corn shells in the salmon salad. They almost broke my tooth. My favorites were the croquettes. The waiter was very helpful with his recommendations, but he was a bit slow, which may be the Spanish way 🙂 I should admit that if they weren't recommended they wouldn't grab my attention as a restaurant, no special atmosphere etc. There was a construction in the building were they laid their tables so that may also be a factor. Overall we had a very good dinner and proces were very reasonable. I definetly would...
Read moreThis is a pretty good place. The pluma ibérica a la brasa (pork) is spectacular, ask for it “al punto” (medium rare) and you are in for a treat. Second place are the “tiger” rolls, which are filled with mussels and sit on a bed of smoked eggplant. The other dish that was quite good was the pear in wine with cheese flavored ice cream. The clams were a bit over cooked and bland, could use something zesty or a bit more acidic. We also had the potatoes and those were pretty standard, the salsa brava is not my fave, but if you’re into mayonnaise type of sauces maybe you’d like it. Good wine selection. The waiters are great! Everyone...
