Mejillonería Cañón — Restaurant in Cartagena

This place is a complete tourist trap rip off, I have been here tonight to eat and payed 10 euro for a small plate of fried squid with 3 Pepers De pardon, when I complained about how the dish was not what they explained to me and what I was expecting for the price, they came out with the manager and argued with me and told me that the dish I ordered was made with the national squid and that the normal fried squid they serve is just crap because it has a different name, and told me romana is a different type of squid when in fact it is the title for the way it is cooked (fried). I give this place an absolute zero out of 10 wouldn't tell my worst enemy's to go there, the place is a complete tourist rip off and hope they get shut down before they ruin Spains image of good gastronomy...

Stumble upon this place as we were looking for a place to have Guinness in the spirit of St. Patrick's Day. Heard that it's known for the Patata Bravas and I sure do understand now why its famous! Apparently this shop was recently relocated, although it's a little quiet compared to the other shops down the street but it was perfect for those (like us) who is looking for somewhere cosy to have a drink and catch up with good food and not much noise. One down side of this place was that they didn't have the prices for imported beers reflected on their menu, so we didn't know the prices until the bill came. I will start with the positive aspects, which mainly was the food. It was delicious and tasty and we really enjoyed it. Drinks were also nice as we had beers. The negative aspect is the staff. There were three waiters, two of them were very polite to us, and the other one was kind of throwing the plates at the table, not very nice. We decided to be inside the bar, and two of the waiters were being absolutely rude towards the one that was behind the counter.
