I just stopped by this ice cream shop "Bico de Xeado" and was extremely surprised! Definitely the go-to place for gelato and coffee in Cartagena. What I liked/ positive: Easy to find location in the center of the city Friendly staff Exited to tell you everything about their icecream and where it comes from: all glace/ frozen deserts are from Galicia. Here they get the cow milk and chose only the best ecological ingredients Packages are ecologically friendly, and they do not use plastic Gluten free tasty desert The icecream combinations that I liked the most are: platano (banana) with dulce de leche (similar to caramel but originally from Latinamerica) Out of the "helados" I tried "regreson con higo caramelizado". I guess this is the most typical one, which you cannot try everywhere. The place itself is very clean and smells good. The staff takes a lot of care of hygiene. The prices are great! Cheap and tasty coffee. Good priced icecream taking into account the quality of the product. Last but not least, for sure you will leave this place with a smile!

Negatives: There is not a single thing I could think of.

Thank you, to the great staff that attended me with...

MojiGata…AVOID if you’re tourists. The staff won’t serve you anyway so have a plan B. You know, if the restaurants here are doing so well, why were there so many empty tables. Note to the owner: we saw you leaving so you should know your trash staff gave business away and refused to come to our table. They thought it was hilarious that they purposely ignored us, refused to make eye contact and left us sitting like fools for twenty minutes. That’s ok, we went to a lovely place next door and dropped €80 and they treated us with great care and manners. Good luck to you…..tourists contribute to your operation! If you din’t want them, put up a sign and save us all the time...

Strong marketing and advertising but modest performance. Photo added to illustrate. Also ordere an aqua sin gas (still water) and received an aqua con gas. When requesting for the correct drink I did receive the correct product along with a dirty look and being ignored for the rest of my visit. Also ordere a salad, although I’m an optimist I cannot deny the bowl was more empty. When signaling to order dessert the lady who was waiting our table nodded and then proceeded mopping the floor instead of helping us. So we didn’t order any more dessert. Unfortunately not a good experience for us.

Thoroughly enjoyed a delicious late breakfast tostada with Serrano ham, queso fresco and cherry tomatoes (although I’d suggest a different cheese, the queso fresco together with the ham is too salty - this was my mistake as it was my choice). My husband had a bagel with pastrami, microgreens and pickles - also excellent. Standard coffee with milk was delicious, orange juice I’m fairly certain was fresh squeezed, or at least tasted like it was. Beautiful location, just the right amount of bustle. Would happily come back here!
