Spent a few nights at Jimmy’s on our most recent trip, most definitely prefer it to any others in the Cala en Blanes area. We were staying at the Talayot Apartments for a week and we visited Jimmy’s on four of those days; either for lunch or dinner which is an indication of how good it is.
We tried the usual tourist spots in the area - Frankie’s, ParkAire, ShoppingBar etc and none of them could match the atmosphere, the facilities and - most important - the food. Reasonably priced (€9 for a BBQ burger with side of chips), piping hot EVERY time and miles ahead of anywhere else we tried.
Drink-wise they are around the same as other hotspots; sometimes cheaper. Can highly recommend the Watermelon Mojito it’s to die for.
Service can be slow at busier times but of course that is to be expected, but your drinks are always cold, food is always roasting and atmosphere is always dynamite so nothing to complain about.
Entertainment is to a selective taste. They always have a form of entertainment every night with either regular acts or special guest acts, all preceded by a kids’ character (Mirabel, Elsa & Olaf, Mario, Mickey Mouse, Minions & Cinderella at the time of our visit with Mirabel and Mario being the favourites it seems.)
Overall I can say that Jimmy’s definitely a great place for a family night out or a highlight of a pub crawl, can’t...

Read moreEverything you expect from a bar aimed towards the British holidaymaker. Really not our cup of tea, however the drinks are competitively priced, the food surprisingly great. The service is hit and miss. Sometime the staff are on it and do fabulous table service other times they are nowhere to be seen even when it's quiet. The chairs are large (once rocking) garden chairs crammed in to a square with tables, many bars surround the square which the waiters work from (all serving tables near to them and only thir drinks) a large concrete stage in the middle where kids congregate before the entertainment takes place causing noise and uncomfortable chaos. The entertainment is a mixture of kids dancing and singing or tribute bands of varying quality. They have tvs all around showing sports (particularly football) toilets are few and far apart. Access is difficult if you have mobility issues or pushchairs but no impossible. It can get very busy so get there earlier that 9pm if you want a seat. We visited to watch the boxing and had a bite to eat and some drinks between 4 of us we...
