Rte Los Delfines — Restaurant in Ciutadella

We ended up in this restaurant casually after watching the sunset from the near by Pont d'en gil and I have to admit that it was an absolutely great idea! We wanted to eat paella and Los Delfines not only has a few options on the menu, but it also sells single portions!! I have really appreciated that; although this time I was not alone, as solo traveller it has been impossible in the previous days to find places able to serve me paella only for myself. I started with some crazy good aioli patatas bravas and then the seafood paella (if you look at the pictures, the portion is amazingly big - I really liked that - please don't change it) and it was just delicious! A lot of fish in it and great attention to the details! If I was going to stay longer in Menorca, I would have stopped again at this restaurant cause it's affordable and with quality products! Absolutely stunning food. Had the croquettes(9 large ones), calamari, nachos ,(very big portions) and the garlic mushroom. Very generous starter portions and all cooked to perfection. My son was very impressed they layer the cheese in the nachos and not just drop on top. We then had a fillet steak so tender and fantastic flavours served with potato and grilled veg. A spaghetti Bolognese which was so good my wife almost didn't want desert (a 1st) and 2 of us shared the seafood paella. This was honestly one of the best paella we have had in our many years of visiting the islands and Spain as a whole. The service was impeccable and our waitress was so friendly and welcoming. How lucky we were to discover this fantastic family run restaurant! The food is excellent, exceptional value for money and the service is first class. We were made to feel very welcome by Linda, Jose, Paco and David and nothing was too much trouble. We very much valued the kindness shown each and every night. We met as strangers, but over the weeks holiday we left as firm friends. How we wish that this restaurant, and its brilliant Team, were here with us back in England.
