Restaurante Haití — Restaurant in Ciutadella

This restaurant is an absolute institution and one of my must visit places to eat over the many years I've been coming to Menorca. It just does the job right and the fact it has survived when so many of the other lovely places I used to frequent have succumbed to the vagaries of economics, tourism and of course the pandemic, speaks volumes about just how good Haiti is. Occupying a prominent position on the corner of what used to be referred to as "The John Travolta Roundabout", it is an open and airy place. You always receive a warm welcome and the service is always friendly and exceptional. The food can't be faulted. Generous portions, beautifully prepared and presented at extremely reasonable prices. The combination platters are exceptional and fantastic value for money. The salads, delicious, while the paella is as good or arguably better than you will pay substantially more for down by Cuitadella harbour. Same goes for the fillet steak. I paid substantially more for the skinniest bit of leather like sirloin in a supposed 4 star hotel in the UK only a week prior. Extensive drinks selection, including cocktails, (I can recommend the piña colada) various varieties of milkshakes and selection of beers, wines and spirits as you'd expect. Great for informal dining, lunch or dinner. Great for families but equally nice for couples. It's an absolute all rounder. There is a lovely buzz and ambience on an evening and it's a nice place to sit and watch the world go by. Many thanks and here's to many more happy times visiting this...

I recently celebrated my wife's birthday at Haiti and the experience was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make her day special. They had set aside a beautifully decorated table with personalised birthday touches. The staff even surprised us with a complimentary dessert, complete with candles. The attention to detail, coupled with outstanding food and service, made it an unforgettable evening. It truly felt like they went above and beyond to ensure her celebration was perfect. IF I COULD GIVE A 10/10 I WOULD!!!

This might have been our best meal out of our entire holiday.

Friendly, warm and funny staff, the lady that served us was amazing, especially looking after our Gluten free person.

I had the Citudella platter which had Sole, Chicken & Fries plus a salad it was cracking. And others had pizza, pasta, platter and they were all sublime.

The drinks were amazing, we have a diabetic person and they went above and beyond to make sure that everything he had was okay and safe.

It is a must go...
