We came late one evening in June and despite our dislike of waiters touting for business outside their establishments, we took a look at their menu and decided to succumb to the persuasion to eat there.
We sat outside at a table with an unobstructed view of the little harbour, the people going by and the sunset. We ordered garlic bread & one of our favourite Spanish dishes - Arroz Negro - rice cooked in black squid ink in a paella pan with pieces of squid , fish and a nice quantity of alioli separately served. Our waiter wanted to serve us the rice seafood mix from the paella dish but we asked him that we preferred to eat it the Valencian way - directly out of the paella pan. We washed this down with chilled bottled water and house wine.
Service was friendly, attentive and the guys there also tolerated my attempts at conversing in Spanish. Why not? The bill came to just over € 50 - a very reasonable price to pay for a lovely meal, good service and some nice...
Read moreJust returned from a short break in Cala’n Bosch. We ate at Sa Familia on our second night and it was just fabulous. The food was great… excellent pasta, the monkish was lovely and the Sangria was the best we had on the island! 🍷
The restaurant is right in the marina so the location is perfect but what really made the evening so special was the staff (big love to John Charles 🫶🏻 and Antonio 😚). Staff are super friendly from the minute you are greeted by the charm of front of house, to the many attentive waiters that are bustling around. We had such a giggle and it made our night (Mama Mia!!)
If we’d have had a longer stay we would’ve definitely ate there again. Great place to eat and drink and not too expensive. Great food, the best staff and good vibes!! Went back on our last night just for drinks as the Sangria and the company was just too good!
See you guys next...

Then I heard him scream « Madre Mia » … seriously?! I’m Italian, so yes I’m a little picky when it comes to pizza and that’s why I ordered the simplest one on the menu (they had four options) they still managed to mess it up and be rude about it. Anyway,...
