Restaurant La Llosa — Restaurant in Cornellà de Llobregat

Unfortunately, contrary to our judgement from the local vibe and appearance, the inside experience was not so good for us.

After a few minutes normal waiting at the door, the first thing happened was that the host took 2 other costumers who had shown up after us to dine ahead of us. Although, those ladies noticed this and offered us to get inside first - but we thought there is enough tables free inside and it is a busy restaurant, "this type of things happen" and never minded a few more minutes wait.

Once inside, they sat us in the back right beside the kitchen and toilets while there were other tables closer to the bar and the door with more fresh air empty. Now again we think it's a busy restaurant and their priority is seating costumers anyway plus, we can be very biased.

We ordered 4 tapas one of which was  1.95 euro croquetas. They never brought us this tapas. After waiting long and noticing the waitress must have forgotten, Once we asked for it, instead she brought us one that was 15 euros and we actually didn't know which is which. When we saw the bill we told our waitress lady that perhaps we made a mistake because we didn't have the menu to point out exactly what we had ordered and assumed she knew we were asking for our unserved tapas. She didn't accept and went to her manager who, came to our table only to confront us for an entire 5 minutes before very disrespectfully taking the 1.95 tapas out of the bill - now, that is probably the only thing they could have done afterall! But why should this have taken them 10 minutes of confrontation with us I do not understand!! I have worked in a restaurant in the past, actually, avery busy restaurant, I know how seating order works, and I know handling these situations can be tricky. But the easiest thing to do is just to pretend the costumer is right and tell them they have to unfortunately pay nonetheless by just treating them nicely.

Notwithstanding, anywhere in Europe if you pay 50 euros you get something somewhat special in a local dinery that is not supposedly super lux. But we had only 4 super oily tapas (I know how tapas are fried food) one of which wasn't even our order and we clearly weren't even able to even convince the staff about it!!!! It is not that the food is not good here, but I have travelled through Spain, this was not the most special food, but certainly the most expensive and unflattering experience I have...

Restaurante increible! Discreto en la zona de Cornellà al lado del corte inglés, de esos que con el boca a boca y su clientela habitual no necesita ni publicidad! Se ha convertido en uno de mis favoritos de toda Barcelona, la calidad de producto es inmejorable, uno de los dueños nos chivó que tienes proveedores de carne que le traen producto fresco de La Coruña, Galicia y Betelu, Navarra. Todo el servicio es super amable, con muchas sugerencias y siempre dan en el clavo, se notan sus años de experiencia. Nuestros entrantes favoritos: Huevos del cheff con puerro frito y foie (increíbles y suuuuuuper sorprendentes) 100% obligatorio pedirlos Ensalada tíbia con queso de cabra, frutos secos y vinagreta de miel (muy generosa y buenísima combinación de sabores) Jamón de bellota con pan con tomate, buenisisissimo Piparras frescas del país Vasco salteadas, sorprendentes y super sabrosas Y de principal no puedes irte sin probar su especialidad, las carnes, el producto es increíble. En la carta en su apartado “a la llosa” te traen la piedra caliente a la mesa para hacértela a tu gusto, te la cambian constantemente para que no se enfríe. Nuestro favorito: la chuleta de buey fileteada (vaca vieja de Betelu, Navarra). El sabor es impresionante, super intenso, ideal para los amantes de la carne. Viene acompañado de una buena ración de patatas a lo pobre y pimiento rojo asado. Por muy lleno que estés, tienes que probar su tarta de queso casera, 100% recomendada! Tal dia como hoy hemos ido a hacer un menu y para nuestra sorpresa NO tenían tronas para niños. Me parece increíble que en Google ponga ideal para niños y que en el mundo q vivimos no tengan tronas. Nos han dado muchas ganas de irnos pero no sabíamos a donde ir a comer y la niña tenia hambre. Pero ese gesto de no tener trona (porque nunca han tenido) te indica que los niños no son bienvenidos en ese restaurante, así que papas y mamas ya lo sabéis. Además en el postre van y nos sirven una tarta en mal estado, olía a agrio que echaba para atrás, (normal las tienen a temperatura ambiente sin ni tapar, pues la crema con esta calor lógicamente se ha estropeado), se lo comentamos al camarero y al llevárselo a otra compañera oímos que dice "como sabe que está mala si no la ha probado" claro que no con ese olor evidente de mal estado gracias a Dios que no me la he metido en la boca, además que no solo lo hemos dicho para que me lo cambiara (que lo han hecho) sino para evitar que otras personas la comieran y ni siquiera la han mirado probado o quitado.
