It seems to be a really popular restaurant, but as far as we could understand all places in the area were full for lunch on a Saturday. At the beginning it seemed to be Italian but once we sat inside we highly doubted so. They have the option for menu even on the weekend, positive point for them. The food was not bad at all nevertheless not good enough for my Italian standards. The pizza dough was ok but the tomato sauce sweet. The pasta noodles were fresh, a big plus for them (also because in another non Italian "Italian" restaurant they didn't know what fresh pasta was). The pasta dish itself was good in size I would say but I was not very happy with the taste of the sauce. Finally, the tiramisu was too sweet and sugary. Read moreWe were staying at an Airbnb down the street and originally went to an Italian place closer to our place. When we got there the man at the door was very rude so we decided to walk further. The extra steps were definitely worth it. We arrived at La Trattoria di Pepper and got a table immediately. We told our server Jonathan we spoke English and he was very helpful explaining the only Spanish menu. We had the sausage pizza and prosciutto pizza and they were Excellent we eat the entire pizza!! We also got a dessert out meal we had strawberry ice cream and panna cotta which were both Awesome!! If you are in the neighborhood PLEASE stop by it's a must!! Thank you...
Read morePara empezar, debo decir que sólo puedo opinar de su menú diario, que he degustado en varias ocasiones.
Menú, como digo, diario; en línea de precios por la zona y que incluye varios platos típicos del país de la bota -como no podía ser de otra forma- con una cocina bastante bien elaborada, siempre dentro de un marco "de primer precio".
Me explico: todo lo probado, tanto pastas, como pizzas, muy bien cocinado aunque con un ápice de simplismo. Sí, soy consciente de que es un menú de diario (y no cuesta un disparate), pero a veces "por 4 duros" puedes hacer que a los comensales se les dibuje una sonrisa en la cara a cada bocado. No es el caso; aunque insisto: todo está bastante bueno.
En cuanto al servicio, una de cal y una de azúcar, serviciales como los que más, aunque en algún caso falta algo de formación básica o directrices adecuadas para el desempeño de tal función. "Si se cae una servilleta de papel al suelo, por favor no la vuelvas a poner en la mesa..."
