Restaurante Turquessa Beach — Restaurant in Cullera

I stopped at Turquessa with several friends on our way to Valencia. It was my worst restaurant experiences throughout my two months in Spain. We were sat in the sun which was OK, and we agreed to it. It was too windy to but the umbrella up so it was a little toasty.

The service was incredibly slow and the staff rarely came to our table but often checked in on other tables. I wasn’t able to grab their attention so I had to get up and go to the bar area several times to get assistance. There were two different types of wine that were ordered and when they were dropped off the server said they were the same but they definitely were not. My food came out excessively later than the rest of the group and was missing ingredients. If one of these happened, it would have been OK but all of these details happened.

Reseña extremadamente negativa

Nuestra experiencia en este restaurante fue un completo desastre. Nosotros habíamos reservado una paella para dos personas, y sin embargo, la situación se deterioró en múltiples aspectos. Para empezar, las tellinas llegaron 40 minutos tarde y, tras solicitarlas en varias ocasiones, resultaron insípidas y sin sabor; además, tuvimos que insistir para conseguir pan y sal, recibiendo finalmente solo este último.

Aún más desconcertante, en la mesa contigua, compuesta por cinco personas, les sirvieron una paella preparada para tres comensales, lo que evidencia una grave desorganización en el servicio. Tras una espera adicional de 50 minutos, la paella que nos trajeron estaba completamente quemada y era absolutamente incomible.

Para colmo, al momento de pagar, en el recibo se incluyeron bebidas que nunca consumimos, ya que nunca llegaron a nuestra mesa. La encargada del servicio se mostró apenada y se disculpó, pero, pese a sus disculpas, la experiencia resultó realmente espantosa.

Lamentablemente, frecuentamos este local con cierta regularidad, ya que tenemos una casa en la zona, y hasta ahora nunca habíamos tenido una experiencia tan decepcionante. Esperamos sinceramente poder regresar y que, en un futuro próximo, esta valoración negativa se transforme en una muy positiva.

La situación empeoró aún más en el ambiente: aunque está prohibido fumar en el exterior, algunos turistas se sentaron cerca y fumaban de manera excesiva, creando un ambiente realmente desagradable. Por otro lado, se podía ver a un niño llorando mientras sus padres, frustrados, abandonaban el local debido a otro error del chef: la porción de paella estaba equivocada, preparada para tres personas en lugar de cinco.

Finalmente, después de otros 50 minutos de espera, la paella llegó, pero lamentablemente estaba completamente quemada y era absolutamente incomible.
