BBQ Fuego Centro — Restaurant in Dénia

It's rare you come across places like this randomly, normally you have to do some research first.

We were in Denia with my family during our recent stay in Spain, now both my parents have lived there for 5+ years so are always reluctant to spend money on anything!

We picked this place on the front with mid expectations as with most random food places in Spain, however I can easily say this was some of the best grilled seafood I've had in years, I shared the Fish Mixed Grill with my Mum (wife had the chicken and dad had a Caesar salad) which came with ample sized steaks of Salmon, Tuna, Sea Bass and some good sized prawns. All grilled to perfection, the Tuna literally cut itself.

service quick and attentive. food was overall good and fairly priced. nice setting. nice friendly staff. we had a large duck salad to share between 5 people as a starter, 9.50€, very nice. main courses we had were between 15€ and 18€.. 3 servings of salmon a la brassa, one sea bass, and one fillet beef. the fish was very good, whilst the beef was tough and dry and in dire need of a steak sauce. the single creme broullet dessert at 6.50€ was lovely and well recommended. no coffees. the reason for the lower mark was that the drinks seemed overpriced and poor quality or simply undersized. ... water came in tiny bottles that were gone in one gulp and hideously expensive. the house wine was overpriced and the draft beer...

Found this lovely bar/restaurant on the first day of a five day break in Denia. We loved it!! Stopped for a drink on our first afternoon and was very impressed with the service. We had already booked dinner for that night but were so impressed by the food being served we went back for dinner the following night - it was fantastic!! Beautiful steaks, cooked to perfection with a great selection of sauces and side dishes of homemade chips and fresh vegetables! Just lovely!!! Must mention George, one of the servers, who was very welcoming and very kind and attentive! He's a credit to the business! I'd go back there just to see him!! Can highly recommend a visit to this...
