What a waste of one of my holiday evenings! We sat outside in a nice area on a warm evening, 3 other tables were occupied, a pleasant waitress served us drinks and gave us menus, we ordered our food it was now around 10.30 a perfectly reasonable time to eat in Spain in a Spanish restaurant. Our starters came and my vegetable tempura was frozen broccoli! It tasted ok and my husband enjoyed his pulpo. Then our waitress and another waiter started cleaning all the tables around us, dragging chairs and stacking them, we felt very unwanted and we hadn’t even received our main course! Amidst this chaos we were served a chicken dish and secreto that had been thrown on top of some very greasy potatoes and a sickly over sweet sauce. A couple next to us, already eaten had 4 friends join them but were told “ 11 o’clock we are closed!” They left and there was only us! Eating mediocre food surrounded by stacks of chairs! I was so angry and spoke to the waitress, she said it’s ok, you can finish your food! Obviously she thought she was doing us a favour! I complained and told her it says you close at midnight on the website, she agreed! We were then given our dessert choice, I wish we hadn’t bothered! Soggy cheesecake base with some creamy stuff on top! When it came to the bill our waitress apologised and offered us a free chupito! We declined! I told her we were very unhappy with the food and service and she took 3 glasses of wine from the bill. Not a happy experience, I wouldn’t set foot in the place there are so much better and...
Read moreThe food was tasty, although they offered Solomillo al Pedro Ximenez without the Pedro Ximenez sauce, that actually defeats the whole experience, but they still charged the extra in the bill. Without the sauce, the onion flavor was way too much and ruined the dish.
The sauce for the patatas bravas was excellent; same goes for the desserts.
The menus are not printed, and I don't like that because then you depend on your phone and scanning QR codes; but they offer a tablet to whoever needs it to read the menu. That's great. Also, the menu has some accessibility links, that gave the restaurant an extra point!
They need to invest in their staff language skills, especially in such an international location.
One important thing to mention, and the reason for removing 1 star, is the bathroom, that was filthy when we visited the restaurant. You can judge by yourself with the pictures.
I will go back, after we recover from the Dana to see if they have improved somehow.
Also: OPEN THE WATER I FRONT OF THE CUSTOMER. Otherwise I will always assume that you are...
Read moreFirst of all what could be better than sitting on the sea front, eating a great meal, delivered with impecable service in the Spanish sun. It's our second visit and the menu of the day priced at under €16 is exceptional. From duck hoisin croquettes to patatas bravas, each of the starters was exceptional. The mini hotdog is just genius in its presentation. My main of pork loin served on sautéed potatoes and onion with a pepper corn sauce was devine. All of us had a different main course, all of us loved them. My desert of Key Lime Pie made it a great meal. Finally the young male waiter who served us today was brilliant. To balance service with a smile, efficient friendly professionalism and a sense of humour isn't easy in multiple languages. This man gets 10 out of 10. A great...
