La Bahia — Restaurant in Dénia

Just been here for lunch with my partner after visiting the Castle. Very busy eating place, which is always a good sign. We had the sharing Paella Valenciana (basically meat in it), was lovely, only downside I would say is that it would have been nicer if the meat was in bite sizes & off the bone (hence the 4 star for food). After reading these comments, I don't know what kind of food people think is good. I had one of the most basic dishes, fried calamari rings, and it was a huge disappointment.

The rings were soft and squishy. I highly doubt that they were fresh. Also, it felt like they were cooked earlier and just heated in the microwave for us.

I paid 11,50€ for those rings, and I would have preferred to spend that money at McDonald's. Even though I...

Whilst the setting was lovely for people watching, I'm guessing the waiter was having a bad day. Constantly scowling and huffing even though it wasnt busy. My simple goats cheese open sandwich arrived 45 minutes after the patatas bravas ( which were just fries with ketchup and mayo. No special spicy tomato sauce). The toilets were dirty with no paper.
