A Hidden Gem in Dénia – Seafood Lovers, Don’t Miss This
I rarely leave reviews, but this place absolutely deserves it. Hidden away in Dénia, this restaurant surprised me in the best possible way — not just good, but unforgettable. As someone who’s tasted seafood all over the world — Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America — I can say with confidence: this is the best grilled shrimp I’ve ever had. Period.
The shrimps were cooked to perfection — rich, savory, and full of flavor. There’s a secret in the way they grill them that I haven’t encountered anywhere else. I didn’t know shrimp could taste this good, and now I can’t forget it. They’ve truly mastered seafood, especially when it comes to grilling.
We did a tasting of nearly every grilled fish and seafood dish on the menu, and not a single item disappointed. Each one brought out the pure, best possible flavor of the seafood. Nothing was overdone or masked with sauces — just honest, masterful cooking that lets the ingredients shine.
The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel completely at ease. Add to that a stunning view of the sea, the marina, and a beautiful beach just across the road — the setting is as enjoyable as the food.
If you have high standards for seafood, this place won’t just meet them — it will raise them. Especially the grilled shrimps: if you haven’t tried them here, you haven’t truly tried them anywhere.
An absolute gem. I can’t...

The Spanish speaking waiter was friendly enough and brought us a small bruschetta with anchovy topping each. Nice detail but could have been more flavoursome. We ordered bread and ali oli starter, absolutely fabulous, 2 small bread baguettes served crusty and warm. Indeed so nice we even complemented the waiter as felt sure it was made on the premises. We think he understood what we tried to convey. Our main course was a meat and vegetable paella for 2 sharing. Sadly the paella was quite badly burnt in several places and had an acrid bitter taste. Don't get me wrong, any chef can have an accident and burn something, but to still serve it to paying guests is inexcusable. It was visibly burnt and could not have been mistaken for anything other than this. My husband is not one to complain, so we ate what we could and left without making a fuss or leaving a tip. Proprietor, if you're reading this then please explain to your chef how much harm a bad meal can damage your business. I hope other diners read this and feel pre-warned. If they have a similar experience I hope they too...
