Restaurant Al Forn — Restaurant in Dénia

This place didn’t appeal to me in any way but another pizza place was booked out and only had seating outside on a very windy and cold night. There weren’t any seats inside here either but at least since it’s blocked by buildings so no wind could bother us. When we asked the girl if there were any seats inside she just said “no” so rudely. She was miserable and did not smile to anyone at all. No one wants to see that unfriendly face. Maybe train the staff to be treat paying customers better. She didn’t even offer us an English menu either. A different waitress had to come and give us some. She was way nicer. We would’ve left but we were starving. We ordered a few things and they didn’t have it available so they only thing we were able to have was a bbq pizza. I refused to get anything else. They don’t deserve our money. I could’ve made a better pizza at home. A pizza from mercadona would probably taste better. I wouldn’t ever come back. Service was terrible, food mediocre at best and they’re out of stock of...

The food was nice, but.. the waiting staff were rather strange. We waited a while to be served, and then when the waitress came to take our order, halfway through giving her our food preferences, she suddenly apologised and disappeared, and she never returned. We didn’t get any of the food we ordered through her, and then we had to flag down another waiter who eventually did take our order. The food came in dribs and drabs, and we missed one of our main dishes until about twenty minutes after finishing our other mains. We ordered 3 coca dishes, which never materialised. We had to ask a lot of questions to prize out information about the dishes too, for example, that one of the fish dishes doesn’t come with any accompanying rice, salad or chips. It took us two hours to be served all in all, and we just had drinks and a main. I’m a fluent Spanish speaker, so comms wasn’t the problem. Food was done. Weird service though, to say the least, which was a shame as this restaurant came highly...

I have not been here for a couple of years, and boy has it changed. The service was absolutely terrible...I'd say the worse I have had ever, and that is saying something. Four of us ordered and the meals which came separately, with the final meal arriving about 20mins after the rest of us had received ours; staff did not care one bit. The drinks order was incorrect on three occasions!!! The staff they have employed at the restaurant now are useless. The meal when it eventually came was fine, but the whole experience was a nightmare of service. When the main season starts they will be in for a great deal of moans. A once really good restaurant has hit rock bottom with regard to service and there are so many restaurants in Denia to take their trade. When you come to the end of the meal they cannot wait to shift you pout of your seats......if they continue like this, they won't have anyone to put in them. ...
