Poor service, waiter seemed he wanted to finish and go. VEGANS don’t risk it. We went specifically as they offer vegan options/food in the website, but nothing was written in the menu. When we finally ordered a vegan option they gave us a plate with fried eggs in. The waiter neither the chef seemed to know or bother to ask what vegan is I guess. It was very annoying to realize when we already started eating. All he said was that he didn’t think vegan have specific food like egg to avoid?!?!? But he did told the chef it was the vegan option! I don’t understand why they offer it so happily in their website then. Luckily I wasn’t allergic to egg...
Read moreMy wife and I visited today the first time in our 50 years a Restaurant with Thai Food. We experienced from very clean, Toilets to the lovely interior of the Restaurant itself and our most hospitable Waiter Dream, a new Level of JOYFULL Professionalism. The Food, we ordered the Daily Menues, were for the both of us, a complete new culinary experience. We felt, like we have most beautyfull Taste Explosions, in our Mouth. In addition Freshness pure. And the Coconut Ice Cream with Pineapple and Honey was a complete delicious Dream. We personally loved as well, as how easy, clean and logical they created the Menue List. It was COLOR CODED as well and showed us immediately the differences in the available Meat and cost. When Dream, our Waiter told us, that in all of this, his Family Members were involved with, it warmed our Hearts. You clearly can feel the Differences to any other Restaurants. We thank Dream and his Family, for what they do and with what JOY AND HEART, they serve their Clients. Oh, did we Mention, that we were full, happy and for under 16 Euros, plus Drinks, we can only say THANK YOU SALA...
Read moreWe had a really super lunch at Sala Thai on Saturday. We both chose the menu del dia (12.50€) as it had the dishes we both wanted. I had the chicken satay as a starter. It was so tender and the sauce was lovely and light, not cloying like some peanut sauces can be. My husband had the spring rolls, which he said were delicious. We both had prawn pad thai as the main course, which we really enjoyed. So nice to have those flavours again! I never usually eat pudding, but the banana fritters and ice cream were just right - not too heavy and just the right amount. The waitress was extremely pleasant and friendly and it was lovely sitting out on the paseo in the sunshine with the palms rustling in the breeze. We will definitely be back soon - it would be fabulous to have a Sala Thai in Pego! My husband says he could eat everything on the menu. (As an aside, there is a great little shoe shop called La Font to the right of the restaurant. Well worth popping into, lovely owner and there are some unusual little dresses, tops and...
