El Mirador de Guadalest — Restaurant in el Castell de Guadalest

This place looks nice and the management are doing a lot of efforts to create a cozy athmosphere, for instance by playing american oldies. The restaurant has a good view to the old Town and remainings of the castle. This is where it stops on the positive aspect. If it comes to the food, you'll have to be patient. Somehow they're bringing the tapas at the same time as the main dish at all the tables!? If you're ordering the salads, it's pretty much ok. But if you're ordering other things, you feel this is not prepared properly, neither with passion, the food is rather heated (microwave). The fries were really greasy. The spare ribs where cooked and they added BBQ souce, so it's not barbequed ribs! This is misleading... Last but not least, the price, I guess one is paying for the view? They're way to expensive versus the quality. I can't give this three stars, maybe 2+.... with little efforts they can do much...

Waited a long time for a lasagne id nearly finished my burger and chips before it was brought out only to find it frozen inside i took it in to owner who said if i didnt want it i still had to pay for it so i said reluctantly to heat it through then thy brought it back out it was just slghtly warm i took it back to owner and told him it was a disgrace he insisted i pay for it and waitress which i assumed was family member was trying to tell him not to charge me for it and he started shouting at her in front of customers i started shouting at him saying hes A disgrace of a man and his food is bad and told him his customer service is so so bad he should be ashamed of himself there were customers outside too that heard it all ,he wasnt bothered at all .AVOID THIS PLACE, FOOD IS DISGRACEFUL AND SERVICE IS...

STAY AWAY.... if you are dining here keep walking! Table of 8 waited 50mins for order pork tacos were cold my sister changed her lasagne for gluten free carbonara but was given the lasagne it was soggy no flavour and looked reheated fried cheese was square bits of brie inside which were rubbery portion of chips some were cold.... we were so hungry and tired at that stage we wanted to leave they were very aware of how bad the food was because I sent the cold tacos back and didn't want more there was no apologies etc we were the only diner's in the place so between waiting nearly an hour for our food and to be served that was disgusting To top it off the bill came to 136 I didn't want to pay for the food off it but my family just wanted to leave My advice...
