Xortá Restaurante — Restaurant in el Castell de Guadalest

First of all, food was good, at least the cuttlefish and the ossobuco. Really nice, and good quantity. View from the windows also stunning. Service also was pretty keen. On the bad side I found the menu too pricey and limited without options and for dishes like watermelon with jam. 25 € ? At those prices I think they can afford a renovation in their 50 years old facilities. I'm afraid bathroom haven't seen any update since the 70's. And the worse were the flies stopped on their desserts. The had the cakes on a table expossed without any cover. U can easily see the flies sticked on the cakes surface without any kind of concern from the staff who still kept offering it. Disgusting and careless. Please spend few bucks on glass covers for the desserts and on the bathroom at least. Is not all about get. Please invest sometimes too. If u save in those things makes me wonder where else u save money in... maybe in food...

No entiendo porqué dicen en otras reseñas que el cordero es espectacular, o bien no han comido un cordero en condiciones en su vida o bien yo he tenido muy mala suerte, porque en mi opinion era más bien malo. Recental, no muy bien asado, insípido y algo duro. Mi mujer pidió un guiso montañés (Olla de Blat) que llevaba manita de cerdo y costillas, y la manita estaba incomible por dura y sólo media costillita en un perolo grande. Le ofrecieron traerle mas costillas, pero nunca llegaron. La ensalada especial, una ensalada normalita, en sitios baratos de menús las he comido mejores, con lechuga, 4 trozos de tomate, atun, medio huevo duro y una zanahoria y remolachas ralladas incomibles, vinagre puro. Las patatas fritas de mi hija horribles, arrugadas y correosas. El servicio correcto, pero justito, el camarero marroquí muy serio y antipático, tiempos de espera algo largos, el helado estuve esperándolo 15 min y finalmente me llegó la mitad derretido. La comida muy normalita, de bar de barrio, desde luego nada de lo recomendado y esperado..Los precios acordes a la comida, normalitos. Para colmo, habia una señora haciendo fotos y grabando videos del local y todas las personas que estabamos dentro, segun decia para redes sociales, pero sin pedir consentimiento a nadie, tuve que pedirle que borrara un video en el que salía mi hija, y cuando le dije que borrara tambien otra foto que tomó con ella delante se negó a mostrarla para borrarla. No sabe esta señora que podria denunciar al local por fotografiar a una menor de edad sin su consentimiento. Vine por una recomendación, pero a mi no...

Restaurant Xortá pleasantly surprised us from the very start. The food was truly delicious — you can tell that the dishes are made with care and high-quality ingredients. We especially enjoyed the beautiful location: if you reserve a table, you can take in the stunning views from the window. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, particularly when it came to accommodating children. I highly recommend this restaurant for family lunches or dinners, especially if you're looking to enjoy beautiful scenery...
