Chanced turning up at this restaurant as we were staying close by. What a find, it’s what I class as a good old fashioned restaurant serving great food with great service. The waiters were very friendly, efficient and happy to assist in menu choices. OH chose slow cooked beef cheek and I had pork medalians with caramelised onion sauce. Both meals were beautifully cooked and were accompanied by vegetables that weren’t overcooked, we didn’t have room for dessert. But enjoyed the Rioja rosé with it. Had dinner there last year and keep forgetting to review it...fantastic foods...never in a million years would I have soup as a starter..but had to try the French onion soup..wow! Best ever and I mean that...I had black sole as mainstream,fantastic also. My partner had a prawn curry...outside of eating in an Indian restaurant this was excellent,even if a little over spicey. Lovely interior for that special occasion, indoor and outdoor seating and excellent service. The extensive menu includes Chateaubriand at 48 Euros for two which is excellent value for money and you can have it cooked any way you want. The fish dishes are excellent and there is even a excellent curry on the menu made by our Indian Chef. There is always a drink on the house. Plenty of parking at the top of the road where...
